Title: h2h In-Game Voice Problem (Linksys Router)
Post by: SysProbe on November 24, 2003, 12:15:18 PM
Hi Everyone

I started back hosting H2H to assist in training of my Squad, but
have some problems. IN-GAME VOICE DOES NOT WORK

I have a network of 5 computers using a
Linksys BEFW11S4 version#2 Wireless Router

Everything works fine except VOICE

I have Forwarded Ports 2000-to-5000

I have also tried Port-Triggering the same ports, but that
does not work either. Be Advised that I do not use
Port Forwarding & Port Triggering at the same time.

I use one or the other. I have been told by Linksys that
you can not use them together, you have to use one or the
other.

I was also told that it may have to do with my Firmware.

I am currently running the latest & most up-to-date firmware,
which is " Version 1.45z"

(#1) Do anyone have any ideas ?

(#2) Is anyone using the EXACT ROUTER, and have success with
In-Game Voice ?

I you are. What Firmware version are you using ?

(#3) Any & All help would be greatly appreciated.

Sincere thanks,

Im not using a linksys router . but with my current network config I'm not getting ah voice to transmit , I can recieve but no trans

this is while hosting or playing it doesnt matter which arena
And i had the same problem on dialup

its somewere between using tcp/ip udp  configurations im starting to think . And its not on just one pc but all 3 of them .even out from behind the firewall pc they do this . and im only running the linksys ezxs55w  switch (same one as last year and vc worked fine back befor ver1.114 )

I have the same problem when trying to use voice in msm messenger .

But Roger wilco and team speak works ok ...

Roscoroo: are you saying you have a LAN behind a NAT router and you are able to host H2H and that AH2 Voice works between computers on your local LAN and other computers out on the Internet?

Compared with my experience, that would indeed be a SIGNIFICANT breakthru.

Is it true?

WHAT NAT ROUTER ARE YOU USING?

I've seen it somewhere in the Help files that a certain router brand just plain won't do AHVoice on H2H. Might have been Linksys...

I love linksys  stuff as they never give me any problems

Maybe it was Belkin

I've never owned a belkin anything that has worked correctly

wow this thread is old ..

my system has changed since the switch days ..

im just running a linksys routor  , with all my pc's masked behind one ip

vc works , ah works, runescape works , evrything works .

in h2h you need ports 2000-5000 open ip/tcp bolth ways  to host
