Thought this guy summed it up nicely.

It precisely describes the interraction between two devices where one (the master) controls all access, communications and sharing of resources between itself and the other (the slave). this is standard engineering terminology in many applications.

But i have to say, during 14 years of switching HD´s to Master/Slave i never ever tought that it could be considered racist....

And ive been convicted for beating the crap out a nazi ****er...

I have to ask one of my black friends tomorrow who have worked with computers for years, what he thinks about this one...
