If so, say hi.

I downloaded the game a couple weeks back when 2.0 came out. I went through the majority of the "training", up to the spec. forces stuff. I just couldn't be bothered to sit around listening to that stuff, and then be forced to take tests on vehicle and weapons platforms recognition.
I haven't even gone online yet as the amount of training seemed overkill. How much, if any more, of that do I have to sit through before jumping into a game?
-
Used to play alot til my hard drive went belly up. Got an old ten gig now and haven't got the room. Wifey won't let me download it on hers. Not only is it a fun game, but I used to laugh my arse off while playing.

JB,
You can get online with almost no training but only on certain servers. The servers determine whether you have qualified for the map and then in game only the soldier types you have qualified for will be available for selection.
I did the sharpshooter and airborne training but haven't bothered with medic or spec ops yet. I am hopeless online but use it as a diversion when I'm not in the modd for AH. My ID in AA is bluemako, original hey? :)
-
Went through all the training except for the spec ops. Took the course, but let it run through while I was taking care of some othre stuff. Got a damn 60 on the test.
Anyhow, Lazerus1 is my id there (chalk another one up for originality).

Yep I play. The maps certainly are limited and the lack of vox is pretty bad for coordinated play.
I think of it like a more complicated version of Tribes. You can't reup when you get toasted but the game is more involved than Tribes is to me.
-
About 8 of my squaddies play so far, more seem to join in as time goes by. When it's night in AH that's where you'll usually find us.
-
Don't mind the spec forces, and even scored in the 90% for the recog....the RPG can make a mess of things...

You can play online right after your marksmenship qualification.

Whats your handle there and what servers do you usually play on?

I've come back to the game as of 2.0. I'll look for you on ASE. Finally beat the SF test. Once you figure it out its kinda silly.
I use SunKing in all games I play.

-Otto- (SF, Sniper, Airborne, Medic)
I'm usually on one of the SF Recon maps.

A lot of people were having probems two weeks ago and there was a detailed write up on what you were supposed to do but I can find it anymore. I think they said most problems could be solved at this maintiance page.
Good luck.

We bounce around a bit Rude. Best thing to do is to meet up with us in Aces High and suggest we head into AA. Gball usually sets up teamspeak and we go from there.
