Games has better graphics than when i played about 9 months ago. btw to me from when i played something is bothering me about that enter but what? (pitch when entering:aok )

I can't seem to achieve stable orbit with the Atlantis.. mostly because i accelerate the time to 10x and start spinning out of control because i tap the controls before i make it up :p

Thinkin about it it'd be nice if they had jets that move the thing left and right without rotating any..

i did that on a redstone mission, the capsule. i shut it down and was spinning wildly out of control but instead of falling down i was falling out into space. wild stuff :aok

i'm gonna have to read the manual that comes with it. i dont really understand the whole getting into orbit bit cuz i cant get it to be very stable either. the first part of the manual does say true orbit is hardest to achieve and isnt just a fly as high as you can process. news to me :lol

anyway this thing is a nice little time killer. without using the speed up thing it takes about 45 mins real time to get into space and on a trajectory thats smooth. well worth the effort when ya see the view ;)

wow...downloaded this game, it came out of nowhere! I am suprised I haven't heard of this game before...it is very cool IMo, just the ability to hop in ship and travel to different planets.

There is a lot of cool downloadables, I suggest you try some, new solar systems, ships, etc.

I also believe this game has TONS of pontential. I believe a well-funded development team can use the same basic game engine, but mod it to make an exciting MMO or something with exciting missions interplanetary bases-like aces high in space or something.  Now that would be cool:cool:

Seriously, think about it-you can really turn this game into something if you take the same engine-just code it to make it multiplayer, with more detail in the planets (more cities, etc.) more ships, whatever....

well anyway, I thought this game was a true space SIMULATION.  It is the first time in a game where I have had trouble controlling a spacecraft.

For once I have to agree.....Pound some laser beam cannons, foton torpedo's (yes, startrek;)  isn't it? ) and some warpengines and make it online

You can. Change into translation mode. I forget what the key command is. Theres rotation and translation modes for the RCU's.

Actually, it has a bit of a sci-fi element to it...it is not just space shuttle.

there are some cool, futuristic ships like the shuttle-a and delta glider, and you take off from bases on mars, the moon, and what not.

The space shuttle was a recent add-on I believe from a recent patch, the original orbiter had no space shuttle.

Thats what makes it so cool btw, taking off from a mars base, going to the moon, landing on a base there, then from there heading back to earth.
