These sort of things have been out for awhile.  There was one that was a chair setup that you would hook your sticks into and the input from the joystick would provide the motion.  When I worked at Mad Catz, we had a couple of them setup at our E3 booth and never got them to work and I think the company that made those fizzled out not much longer afterwards.  There was another company based out of Alaska that would make them for private individuals with lots of $$$ or to arcades.  If any of you remember "Lord Frog" at the '98 WB Con, he was the one that made those and had one at the Con, a mock up of a F4F Wildcat.  That thing was a blast to fly in and pretty much everyone had to kick me out so they'd get a chance to play in it.

That would be Accu Flight Group out of Palmer Alaska. DukeMskt, a member here is the owner and several members work under him, myself included. We do game scale simulators in addition to full scale commercial simulators upto level D for airliners.

Full motion? Great for airline sims. But for a combat sim what happens when your inverted?

And AKAK don't waste your money, you'd still suck.

We have had two "full motioin" simulators here at the Museum of Flight in Seattle for over a year. The graphics aren't that great, but the ride is. You're strapped into the pod with another person and one of you flys the plane while the other operates the weapons. You can also have the two simulators programmed to "dog fight" each other, so that's a lot of fun too.
Ripsnort has been here and tried them so ask him how the ride was.

:aok

I hope we'll see something like this who can stand my 120 kilos and 1.85m high bellybutton to the range of 2000$.
And ofcourse a projector :)

If you push -G's then seatbelts get tighter.

If you pull +G's then pneumatic or hydralic "pillows" under the arnold and back  inflate(?).

If you skid/slip then pneumatic or hydralic "pillows" in leg and back side-supports (left/right) inflate(?).

Also add some stick&pedal forces vs speed.

Just my 2cents to give some feeling of the flying even without full motion platform.

Flight sims really need something more to the force feed back area, than just a shaking sticks.

The ones that are made by the company Wolfala works for has force feedback.

You never answered the question- What happens when you go inverted?  Does the motion simulator actually go upside (I've seen one that does)?

The problem is that in most of situations in combat you have from 2 to 6 G+ this can not be simulated at all because you just can not simulate G for this you should applay changing field of gravitation like electric (if you did first get price of Nobel).

I know phisics very well and I can tell you it will never give you feeling of combat because it can not applay G.

All this is just to make you waste your money - if you want something real just make pilot liceance and learn how to make aerobatics - but be carefull you have no second life :D

I flew copule of times in plane that makes very simple aerobatics - wing over or hard turn - it is absolutly different feeling don't let them make a money on you.

$30,000 range for the WW2 pits. More for the Comm sims, but less then Flight Safety.
