Knock on wood....
What do you attribute the "Relative" calm to?
-
The Iraqi guerrilla's and imported radical Muslems are spellbound by "Survivor" re-runs.

Hi muckmaw,
would be great if so but i didnt notice a "calm down". Where did u get this from?
-
Was just watching TV during lunch... Rocket attack on Coalition HQ in Bagdhad...

It's Eid, the festival that marks the end of Ramadan. Everyone will be off feasting with thier families.
-
Because its not reported dont mean its not happening.

Just a personal observation. Normally, as I check the news during the day, I see 1 report a day of soldiers getting killed in Iraq.
Trust me, if it's not being reported it ain't happening.
You cannot sit there and tell me the media suddenly decided to stop reporting body counts.Whats next? No more Murders and Fires on the 11 o'clock news?

I've noticed the opposite.. especially those shot down choppers have made a spike in the death toll.

I've noticed the same thing. I imgine as Pei said, it might have to do with Eid. But I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "relative". Compared to getting choppers shot down, it is "quiet".

Nope, havn't been over there this week.
-
I read in the papers that the attacks on troops had about halved since the coalition troops started more proactive action against the enemy.
