At 800 x 600 resolution I can't read a damn thing in this game.
There's GOT to be a better font. Perhaps there is and I just dont know how to set it. But I hear of action by a certain airfield and it takes 15 minutes just to locate it on the map because of clumsily zooming in on different sections just to read the damn font. Hehe - I feel better now. But right now with my set up (default install), the font SUCKS (at least on my 17 inch monitor in 800x600 resolution). Nevermind tracking one F4U thats 1k out and losing it when I get on another 4k out because I cant read the damn FONT.
Seriously, is there a way to change it?
After three weeks my No1 problem is reading the text in the game. IMO, fonts (like accountants), shouldn't be creative - just legible.
apologies to any monks or calligraphers reading this.

dont think you can change fonts. You can increase your resolution, the letters get much better. Only problem is you need more horsepower to run with higher res.

On Aces High, on Clipboard, click Video, set ur Video to the smal-
lest setting of 640 x 480. Everything shall then be BIGGER & u'll be able to see & read better.
Cheers,
Happy1 :D

theres an icon font size ... in the clipboard
go to setup / icon display set it at 12
and for finding feilds you can zoom the map in and out with the insert / delete keys

As rosco said, make sure you've set it to the largest font possible in the game's clipboard.
I used to run the game at 800x600 on my old machine; I never had a problem reading icons or map numbers. The only thing I had trouble with was the ammo counters in planes.
You aren't by chance using an LCD (flat screen) monitor, are you?

OOps - I forgot I switched the mode to 600x 480 to get a better frame rate. Thats what I'm playing in. I know I need a new computer, but I'm going to try like heck to put if off for a few months. I can afford it now, but can afford it better in about 2 or three months. I shouldn't post while drinking - I tend to get over dramatic :) Come to think of it, I guess it doesn't help reading the iddy bitty type either :D
