Title: Just installed W2K pro Bad video and hangups only with AH

Hi all.  I have a AMD 1.4 GHZ processor on a KG7 Raid MOBO with GeForce2 card.  The system ran perfect with Win98SE.  I did a clean install with win2k, did all the updates, current Nvidia drivers, chipset drivers, etc and it is still messed up.  I did a reinstall of AH and still no fix.  All other games and apps work except AH.  Basically, what happens is when I execute AH, either I get in and things lock up (it's literally one frame per 20 seconds!) or the screen is just scrambled like the refresh is messed up or something.  This is only in AH.  If anyone has any info, I would be most grateful!  :)  Im getting severe withdrawls!

Take the hardware acceleration down a notch. Start/run/ dxdiag
Then, there is a hardware accleration slider. Pull it down a notch to standard acceleration. See if that fixes it.

Ugh, my display section doesn't have a slider.  Only the sound section does. :(  I'll try disabling acceleration.

If you are using the latest NVidia drivers, that could be the problem.  For a GF2, you should be using either the 30.82 or 41.09 drivers.
Unfortunately, if you installed the 5x.xx drivers, you will need to reinstall DirectX as well.

I am assuming that is a VIA motherboard.  Make sure to use the latest 4in1 drivers from VIA.
