Last night, Tango, XO of the 412th FS and I had another couple sorties and got ourselves into two great 2-v-2 fights one right after the other. It started out with 2 P47s coming in to engage us, both with more E than we had. Watch and listen to vox as Tango and I coordinate what we are going to do to fight the bandits. Very early in the fight, Tango forces one of the 47s through a loop and sets him up perfectly for me to kill. The other one burns off too much E in a subsequent turn trying to get on Tango's six and let's me get saddled right up on his six for his final ride ;)

Almost immediately after the 2 P47s are dispatched, we are again engaged. This time by a fast P51 (piloted by Ren). The P51 misses, and appears to be leaving the area when another P47 (piloted by Damned Zanth) shows up. Again, Tango and I are hurled into a fight for our lives, as the P47 and P51 make alternating attacks on us and forcing us to stay defensive.

Tango and I end up seperated, he with the other P-51 and me with the P-47. All four aircraft get into a scissor with Tango and I both put at the disadvantage. Knowing I would loose too much E in a scissor with a P-47, I broke out and headed to (Ren's) P-51, which was now in pursuit of Tango.

The fight ends with the P51 breaking off Tango, giving me a lucky shot onto his radiator, and then me pulling the P47 through a climbing turn that allows Tango to get in for a kill shot. Finally, as we are RTB (after loosing vox) the P51 ends up going down and awarding me a 4th kill.

All told, Tango scored 2 kills (One on a Hurricane that was downed before the film started) and Midnight 4 (one on an N1K that augered trying to match a snap-roll with too much E).

Once again, the knights learned the hard way that 2 P-51s with pilots that know how hold their E can make a very dangerous pair.

Thanks to Tango for being such a great wingman, and a special thanks to Ren and Damned Zanth for giving us such a great 2-v-2 dogfight!

Thanks Slimm50. The 412th FS is founded on being a supurb P-51 squad. Our members *Try* to fly the P-51 all the time, and many of us get over 90% of our kills in it every tour, some get 100% of all fighter and attack kills in it on a regular basis.

If you want to fly with us sometime, we fly as Rook and have our squad night on Sundays at 21:00 EST, or just look us up in Rookland whenever.

Because, i tried being rook for a few weeks, and they suck. I lasted a little less than 2 days before i got so pee'd off with them that i switched again.

Also they are no fun to fight, they are alt monkies - and more recently; they alt monkey in hoards.

Many people on rooks that i do like, but i just generally hate the team as a whole :)

It's funny you say that furball. Most of the rooks I know say the same about Bish and knit :D
