Title: hellcat flaws I have discovered...
Post by: Citabria on June 25, 2001, 04:15:00 PM
because I fly it a lot and its a fun plane but there is stuff that needs altering:

1. change accelerated stall modelling (pyro)

2. lower upper vertical head movement so it is similar to the P-38's and so pilot cant stick head outside of the canopy.

3. adjust front armored glass plate so that the arch extends a little bit higher. currently it is too low for a f6f5 front armor plate window. this error looks to be a combination of the f6f3 front windscreen length which is shorter with the f6f5 windscreen style (make it longer vertically from reference photo)

4. add angled armor plate head rest

5. remove artifact from lower portion of gunsight glass

the 6 view is way to generous... pilots eyeballs removed from head and put on periscope

I fly the F6F alot too.  I want these things to be fixed about as much as you do.  But, I have to say, I'd rather hit you in the head with a ball peen hammer than see you post the exact same thing over and over and over again Cit.

Time for a different aproach.  HTC has this info, since you've already given it to them.  Saying it over and over and over isn't helping.

Cit,

If you really want to nit-pick, you can always mention the fact that both the Minsi II (the one modelled in AH) and the Minsi III had the windows behind the seat that were on the F6F-3 even though they were both -5's.  :)

Cit,

I bet most of the people seen this thread on Aircraft board or wherever it was originally posted. I would understand if you would have included something new, but no, same pictures, same requests...
