Ok. I know we've heard it all before but it still bears mentioning again, or just call it venting if you want.
kill stealers. the other night i was fly'n and shot down 3 different planes and only got assists on all 3 because someone decided to come allong and shoot them before they hit the ground. News flash "all kills are not a ball of flaming mass. shot the tail off of a spit at 20k and he floted to the ground for 5 min. so come on don't be a kill stealer some of us have to work hard for the kills we get.
Next one thing i can't figiure for nothing is why, when there are say 6 nme fighters over a base and 7 friendly and you have 5 friendlys chasing one nme. use your head guys. I mean, i don't know how many times i have been shot down because i wind up dogfighting with 4 nme planes while 5 other friendlys are chasing one nme plane. If there are two guys chase one, chances are he's a dead man so find another target. they're there. they'll be the ones chasing me:lol

You need to figure out what your priorities are. If you're at 20k and kill a plane with friendlies below you... is your priority to shoot the plane down or get credit for the kill? If it's "Get credit for the kill" then you're going to have to shoot the plane some more. You can't expect to always do the bare minimum with no sacrifice and expect everyone around you to accomodate it.
You want the kill... pump more rounds into him. Either that or stop cherrypicking over furballs.

Just announce "He's dead, you morons!" on the range channel when other friendlies go after the enemy plane's carcus. Failing that, be sure to berate the other players for kill stealing or post something about it on the forums.

By far the most effective route. It'll all stop for you now.
Mini, you mean if you want the kill, you need to like "totally kill him, duuuuuuuuudde"?

I shot all the stabs off a Spit14 the other day, then called the Spit dead on range channel and some reject STILL shot up the spit. :(
Loony...for those who are persistant in shooting up your kills....this is what I do...watch them carefully, hovering as close as I can, when they begin to fire on an enemy, I fly in front of them. Make sure you wiggle around so their bullets hit you ;)

The other great thing is to engage an enemy 1 V 1. Let's say you're in a P-40 and the other guy is a higher La-7.
With skill and cunning and clever ruses you manage to survive his 14 B&Z passes and he finally gets a bit over anxious and makes a mistake. You're on him like white on rice! You start getting little snips and snaps on him as he desperately tries to disengage. Muahahahahahha!
He's gonna get nailed, finally!
Then a friendly comes swooping in in his FW-190 and clears the La-7 off your twelve (edit for position)
What else can you do but salute and take the assist?
;)

Unfurtunatly maturity comes into play here.
Or that lack there of.
-
Nothing else you can do in that situation Toad hehe.
Here's another good one. Shot up a 190 one day, it was on fire, trailing black smoke and radiator fluids and missing the ENTIRE right wing......I call him dead on range channel....some retard in a B-26 starts shooting the 190 till it explodes and I get an assist :rofl

News flash: If he's not a ball of flaming mass when you're done with him then you obviously didn't pump enough rounds into him. Take comfort in the fact that you killed him, cause that's all you really deserve.

Like I said lack of maturity comes to play.
