Has anyone found any photos of the Peggy other than this one?
Anybody got any bombload specs on this girl? How much will she carry? Will it be similar to a JU88 as far as speed? Will it carry as much ordinance? as the JU? Should be fun in scenarios. :)

This is quick and dirty from memory, since I'm at work, but....
Its almost 50mph faster than our fastest bomber (B26 = 280ish Ki67 = 334mph), has a light bomb load, but should have good defensive guns (20mm & 12.7mm MG) and be quite manueverable. It should also be fairly durable, since the Japanese had learned the importance of armor and self sealing tanks by this point.

It can carry 1,764 lbs. (800 kg)of bombs or one torpedo.
It has a 12.7 mm in the nose, left, and right side positions, plus a twin 12.7's in the tail. The top turret is a 20mm.

wow very light load..
Sounds like our new ackstar though with those guns :)
-
Superfly, how many bombs will it carry? :)
-
"Without bombs the Ki-67 could easily make loops and vertical turns ... controls smooth up to 600Km/h IAS ..."
From Francillon's book. Good luck you buff hunters ;)
-
I think the most common load was like 5x250lb bombs, but that's from memory...which isn't very good :)
-
15 x 50kg
8 x 100kg
3 x 250kg
1 x 500kg
Are it's possible loadouts.

Ki-67 will be a fast, well defended bomber useful for the suppression of small targets such as AA guns, ammo, fuel, base radar and troops.
-
Should be nasty against towns and strat targets with lots of buildings.
-
Yes, indeed. A very historical usage, wouldn't you say Funked?
:D
Just funnin' yas.
You KNOW I don't care what they add!
If you're sitting in a fighter, every thing you see is a target. :)

The true strengths of the plane may not be able to be exploited, true enough; it is however a potent combat aircraft and a very worthy addition to the Japanese stable.
-
Hmmm, probably it will be used as a torpedo platform. Those torpedo planes we have now are too easily killed by fleet fighters.
Other than that and ack starring -- almost completely useless.

yup its gonna join the tbm3 and ju88 in the seldom used junk a/c pile.
to bad no one realizes how much more use a b24 and b25 would recieve from the players.
-
I have a feeling they'll be used in the Combat Theater and Scenarios.

What an excellent choice for a light perk bomber. with the auto directors for 1 20 and 3 50s for much of the rear area it will be deadly on interceptors. + the extra speed foiling angles on attacks. wow. you gotta mean it to try to set up a run on one of those babies.
Rarely used my butt. Excellent for gas and dar suppression. Not much of a hanger buster or strat killer but in much more useful for taking down important small targets at a defended field.
I will spend some serios time in that plane.

Rheinmetall MK 108 30MM Cannon. That is my answer... With so many buffs(1.09) I will also need a G6/U4

I don't agree, Citabria. If you thought a B26 was tough to bring down, you ain't seen nuthin' yet. One of these comes over with a head start and it will be gone before you can get there. It was maneuverable enough to be a heavy fighter with a 75mm cannon and 15 rounds (though only about 20 made). It had a much higher ceiling than the B26. Finally, remember there will be four of them at a time, not one. That's four 20mm cannon waiting to steal your 200 perks. We also already know how deadly twin-fifty tailguns are, even on the supposedly soft underbelly of the Lanc.
Finally, I think it only fair to turn away from American stuff for a bit, but if you must have another american bomber I'd much prefer to see the A-20. Fast, maneuverable, decent payload, and ubiquitous (served with virtually every Allied country). Good arena attack bomber, great scenario addition.
