Skuzzy,
Any chance of getting support for 16:9 widescreens? I just ordered a Panasonic 50" LCD RPTV with a VGA input to replace my 22" Mitsu. It should look awsesome driven by my ATI 9800 XT. The native resolution for most widescreens is 1280x720. Now we actually have bigscreens without phosphorus burn-in problems or motion artifacts. Alot of the new Flat panels are widescreen now too.
Thanks,

Try to edit directly your video7.cfg
I've done this to be in 1152 * 864.

Thanks Straffo, I'll give it a try. Can i still use 32 bit color? Is that a custom resolution to pevent overscan?

I'm using 32 bit without trouble.
I had to use this resolution cause the next 1280*1024 as a synch to low for my eyes on my monitor and 1024*768 is a bit to small for my taste.
Btw I'm using a crt monitor , I don't think it will hurt your monitor
If you desktop is set at 1280x720 ,it should work in AH.

Oh,
Now that I look under ATI displays, I see that your res is actually a standard one. I thought you had created it with Powerstrip. My 6 year old Mitsu does 1280x1024 @ 85 just fine. I will edit the file when I set up the Panny.
Thanks again,

You should be able to edit the video7.cfg file and put in any resolution supported by your video card/monitor you want. There are no gaurantees, but I would like to hear how well this goes.

It's a standard resolution but you can't set it up within AH as you can't choose it.
But I dunno if your reolution will be suitable for AH concerning quality of image (ie : no distortion etc ...)

It won't arrive till Santa gets here but I will let you know how it works out. If the 1280x720 is too stretched out I can always switch to 4:3 viewing but will prolly be stuck with 1024x768. It will prolly still look good with 6xAA.
Has anyone else out there tried AH with a bigscreen? I would be interested how it worked for you.

Zeb has just been getting a 1280x720 monitor too and I told him about this - worked perfectly! :)

We only did a quick test, but could not see any distortion..... therefore I would expect it would still be possible to hit what you shoot at. Zeb didn't get as far as actually flying. :)

SKUZZY,
Will we be able to edit Video config the same way when the final AH2 is out? Thanks for the tip Straffo and to Flossy for reporting back success at this res. If you saw my thread -
http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=104663 then you know it worked for me and is awesome.
