what are they and how should I use them?

Tilt it's your axis's for your views.  I use them so I can use my Track IR setup with the current AH.  I put my left to right view on yaw and my up and down on pitch. I had to invert my pitch view and use the tir2joy.exe to get it to work. There's tid bit of info on it in the hardware section.
