Title: nvidia to ati switchover tips
Post by: dogsnot on December 10, 2003, 10:16:41 AM
Bit the bullet and have ordered an ati retail card from newegg.  Currently have an nvidia card in my box.  Any tips or warnings before I switch over?  Any recommended programs to get the glue like detonators out of my system??  Any and all tips appreciated.

Get Driver Cleaner it handle the job nicely (at least for me :))
1st de-install your nividia driver
2nd reboot in VGA
3rd run Driver Cleaner (it will delete the remaining files)

next install the ATI card.

I switched from Nvidia to ATI without trouble.
