that definetly looks badass. better than the H2.
-
That is awesome...
And I hate the H2.
-
smurfy.
-
Let me guess,
The Soccer Mom package includes a kevlar mobile phone holster, titanium make-up kit and ring laser gyro stabilized coffee cup holder. (Not a hit at the truck).
Looks like the "days" in Seattle are as bright as the ones here.
-
Not bad looking at all. And I think the H2 is....well, not the most beautiful piece of automotive craftmanship ever created.
Sat in an SSR yesterday. Sweet little ride.

It has to do with the size of your noodle.

In america its so small they try to make up for it by buying a pickup truck?
-
Furball, Americans usually have more than just a flat to look after. Personally, I could NOT live without a truck. My car could not bring in 90 yards of bark for the landscaping each spring, my car cannot tow my boats or travel trailers. My car cannot move a few new trees I need to plant. My car cannot go offroad...well, you get my point. And, all of Rural America makes up about 1/2 our nations population and with Rural America about 25% of that comes in the form of farm animals, feed, etc for those who raise their own food.
From my stand point this Hummer truck is not usable for the aforementioned, its definately a "Look at me!" truck.
-
Somehow it doesnt look real... looks like a toy car u used to play with when u where little...
-
Nothing little about an SSR.
-
The HUMMER can't compete with the CANYONERO :rofl
-
All those hybrid bastardmobiles are smurfy. That includes your car-based SUV's. Go buy a station wagon if you're not going to take it off road.
-
I've got to agree with Tarmac. If you have absolutely no intention of ever taking the vehicle off-road just buy a station wagon, you're not fooling anyone. The worst are those Lincoln and Cadillac monstrosities.
-
9.9 from the canadian judge.
-
I'd rather get a Canyonero too.
Can you name the truck with four wheel drive,
smells like a steak and seats thirty five?
Canyonero! Canyonerooooo.
Well it goes real slow with the hammer down.
It's the country fried truck endorsed by a clown.
Canyonero! Canyonerooooo.
Hey Hey!!
The federal highway commision has ruled the Canyonero unsafe or highway or city driving.
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide, sixty five tons of American pride!
Canyonero! Canyonerooooo.
Top of the line in utility sports,
unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!
Canyonero! Canyonerooooo.
She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
she's a squirrel crushin deer smacking driving machine
Canyonero! Canyonerooooooo!

Now, if it had a big ol' Sheep as a hood ornament, you wouldn't be saying that now, would ya 'pard? ;)
-
I've always wondered why are they putting tires like those in cars which most likely won't ever need them ?
WTF is that red stripe? Looks like a lipstick.

find one other than a beemer (which 1/2 cant afford) or a smurfy subaru thingamabobber that paul hogan used to advertize for.

When I go to purchase a new vehicle, it'll be a pickup or an SUV. And I don't plan on taking either off-roading. Don't like it? Piss off! :D

its people like you that are going to piss people like me off soon. you dont have a use for a truck, other than to tailgate some honda civic on an icey road. thats why there going to jack up the taxes (and emission standards) on trucks. there are a lot of people have to work out of there trucks and dont like the added expense, all around. if you want the "mannliest" outfit out there get one of these. there the best there is and much better looking than a ford explorer with a humvee body (h2 and H3) UNIMOG's rule the off road.:aok

Very impressive indeed.
:D

As the owner of TWO SUVs
Explorer (wives)
Jeep (mine)
I have to say them and trucks are not only suitable for off road but inclimate weather as well. Even though my wife hasnt a clue on how to drive in ice and snow both vehicles get around nicley in them. Plus I have room for both of my kids AND my dogs
-
Yeah it's purdy and all but for a real truck there can be only one!

Bigsky, I'm curious as to how you know I don't have the use for a truck. They are good for more than driving in the mud. Manly, shmanly, I just like pickups and SUVs.
PS...In regards to me somehow raising costs for you. I'm crying on the inside. Really.

Makes me want to gag.

That ugly bellybutton POS Tonka truck is R/C. It even has an on/off switch. (Immediately below the grill)

Quite a few pick ups here in Ireland lately all dolled up with big alloy wheels and spotlights. Double cabs mostly. I even saw an original Hummer once. Heaven knows how it copes with some of the narrow boreens in this neck of the woods.
Landrovers Huh? You want a Nissan Patrol mate. That's a real 'Don't mess with me!' vee-hickle.

All right a Landcruiser. Toyota's last forever.
Actually I saw a piece on BBC's Top Gear where they the strapped Toyota pick up to the top of a block of flats which where being demolished. It survived and later drove into the studio they were filming in! Tough or what?
-
I must say this hummer looks like a toy car....

Toyota's last forever? In Phoenix, I can count on one hand any Japanese car on the road that is over 15 years old in a 1 month period.

Godzilla,
Obviously you haven't visited Finland..
High taxes can make miracles for cars age :D

I better stick with one of these:

eeeekkkk ...
Paint that T3 in yellow and voila you have bob the builder next car ....
It was designed by a retired playschool engineer :p ?
-
Each to their own, I guess. Another smurfy American car. I mean come on, at least pretend it's not a boy's toy. Seems the designer went out of his (or probably her) way to make the thing look like a transformer.
Henry Ford must be spinning in his grave. Although, at least not all new American cars are god-awful monstrosities. That new Ford super-car looks very tasty.
-
the main problem with the hummers is there not really hummers. only the h1 is a humvee. the rest ( H2 and H3) are ford explorers with ugly bodies. and as for you SOB, people like you are the reason that i dont insure my 77 dodge 4x4. why? its funny how defensive drivers get when they see that primer grey beast in traffic. it like they have a sixth sence and know im only into it for $500. and after all, if everybody else has insurance, why waste my money?
-
Insurance dodgers should face summary execution.

now this is the nuts: -

Correction, Bigsky:, The Hummer 2 is based on the GMC Tahoe frame (Which is alot bigger than the Ford Explorer frame. The Explorer is a distant relative of the Ford Rangers frame.) The H3T, as shown in the first post, is based on the same underpinnings as GM’s new midsize pickups — the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon
-
Rip the Tahoe thing is a misconception but many people will believe what they want without actually researching something.
The T3 is strictly a concept vehicle at the moment so don't worry fellas. You won't see it any time soon.

As long as you don't mind getting your future earnings tapped for the next 25 years....
-
LOL, I'm the reason you are too much of a lowlife to live up to your responsibilities and purchase insurance for your truck. Is there anything else I made you do that I don't know about?

Hate to tell ya Acid, but other than 3 cross members, its the same (See pic below) This was due to cut down the cost of expensive re-tooling. The axles are just straight axles as well, just like normal 4WD vehicles. It also carries the Jeep Cherokee 4WD transmissions.
Photo curtosy of GMC.
Personally I have no use for Humvees or H2's, can't put a camper on the back, can't haul cow **** in the back...what good is it? ;)
-
I'm comfortable in stating I know better ;)
I'm sure I could go dig up some beemer slop, but I'd rather not.

I could do a lay-over of the GMC frame on my CADD/CAM station if you'd like...not trying to draw slop up, just showing that their very similiar frames. Nothing wrong with the Tahoe frame...ijust pointing out that the H2 frame really has little in common with the original Humvee.
-
I didn't say it was a common frame with the humvee, I'm saying it's not a Tahoe frame. It may have been "based" on it, but I don't work at GM so I guess I shouldn't say it is or isn't but I do know this. The final frame assembly is made up of 3 sections. The front uses a modified GM 2500HD-Series utility frame. The mid-section is all new and is completely boxed. The rear section uses a modifed GM 1500-Series frame (shared by Tahoe/suburban) which is upgraded for 8000 pound gross vehicle weight.
Sooo maybe 1/3 of the frame is shared, IF you don't count the upgrade.
IMHO Using parts that are proven was a very smart decision on GM's part.
Tohoe's are fine, but the H2 ain't one.
:D

Don't say that CAD word !

LOL! We have a resident STEP/IGES guy that specializes in helping those with problems.
Are you using V4/V5 interop yet?
FYI, V5 downward compatibility sucks, all you get is a visual representation , no history, no nothing. Might as well just send a paper copy to the lower release user
-
No , I'm not involved in using Catia ,I just trying to decipher the file format to visualize the improbable parts the mecanical genius want to control :)
I'm involved in a metrologic CMM project (I would have better shot my feet instead of entering this project ...)

no sob, i guess you reminded me of the kinda people that have hit my poor old little nissan pickup three times and run. 2nd time was when some old fart was trying to get cross a main street when he lurched out, changed his mind, reversed, of corse he left it in reverse. next chance he got to cross the street he was still in reverse, hit the gas hard and slamed up into me and then took off. i got his plate number and called cops on him. when i told the police what had happened they asked me "so what do you want me to do about it" i explained that maybe you should give him a ticket and get his insurace # so i can get my truck fixed (not my usual truck, the big one that pulls a trailer on average twice a month, i have only two.) i never heard from the cops again about it. so in retrospect if the cops dont care why should i? you got the right idea sob, screw the other guy, thats his problem. thanks for reminding there is your kind of people filling the road. thats why i have uninsured motorist coverage.
-
Let me get this strait... Because I will make the choice to purchase a Pickup or SUV with my money, I'm like the guy who backed into you and drove away from the scene of the accident? Please tell me you're trolling, because you can't honestly be this retarded.
