I have been trying the WBs3 and AH offline. I am leaning towards AH, but am I missing something? Is there an Easy flight model I cant find to turn off? I seem to have less troube keeping the planes in the air in AH.

1) Launch AH.
2) Click on the "SETUP" button.
3) Click on the "Flight" button.
4) Make sure that the "Auto Takeoff" and "Auto Combat Trim" buttons are not depressed. The buttons should not be a dark grey and should appear raised.
5) Launch an aircraft.
6) Verify that the light next to the "COMBAT TRIM" line in the cockpit is off. If tyhe light is green, press Ctrl-X and text should inform you that Combat Trim is off.
Combat Trim isn't a full easy mode, but it does make basic flight easier.

There is no ez mode in AH. Auto trim comes nowhere close to an ez mode IMO. It does not make an aircraft easier to control at stall speed, it does not lower stall speed.
Auto takeoff while it maybe "cheating" all it does is get you off the ground easier while u go grab another pint. And it can kill you when trying to takeoff from a carrier while heavy. Auto takeoff does nothing for or against you once in flight.
If you have a good Hotas setup with multiple Hats perhaps you can use manual trim, my hands are too busy while in combat to dance on the keyboard trying to trim. When I finally get my control system assembled, i should be able to manual trim tho +)

real planes are easy to fly :)

Fester makes a good point. Harder is not does not always meen more realistic.
WB models rolls quite exisitely badly.

S!
Agree with Fester and Karnak.Real planes are not hard to fly if ya remember the quirks they have. And the roll rate in WB is reduced to avoid "warp rolls".Never seen those in AH->Better code! :D

Thanks for the replies guys :)
So there is not a disadvantage to combat trim? And it does not change the flight model, just keeps you in trim automaticaly?
-
Combat trim will keep you somewhat trimmed. Not completely, just better than not being trimmed.
However say you and I were turn fightin in Zero's, by manually trimming my plane I can ride closer to the edge of the Zeros' flight envelope and out perform you.
Combat trim is meant to be a helper till you get on your feet and are then able to try and tackle trim on your own. And also for those folks who do not have a gazillion buttons on thier hotas setup to map seperate manual trim controls, combat trim can be a compromise to no trim at all.

<--has a gizzillion aproximantly (googleplex) amounts of Joystick setup mappable buttons..
Does not use combat trim...
Trims with keyboard... Other buttons to important to waste on Joystick when i can just use the i,k,j and l keys...
