Title: d*** i hate big isles

so i tried flying twice tonight, several hours apart. both times i logged on i found huge hordes of nmy attacking a poorly defended base; in all fairness, my country was doing the same thing! I managed to get engaged several times only to die in a gang bang fight. no biggie, don't even mind the 262 i lost to a b17 (that was all me hehe). Big Isles is the worst map of the whole lot when it comes to air to air combat. it promotes mostly long distance gang banging tactics with an occasional cv battle that may be decent. Lets take a lesson in what a crappy map offers:
1) long flight to a fight
2) spread out bases, inducing huge numbers at one point
3) gv's that spawn across water

big isle offers all three. I prefer acm flying, unfortunately this map does not allow me to find many flights that allow me to actually fight an enemy to the death without interference from others. To survive, tactics must be modified to fly a fast plane (51, d9, la7 etc) and hit and run; effective but totally boring in the long run. In a nutshell, this map offers horrid play. now i must log until next week.

i say we replace big isle with pizza the best map of all.

Finding bug-isles back to back with pizza makes me long for the days when players reset to the next map.  I dont 'hate' either map per-se, but to be stuck with them for half the tour just goes too far.

dont forget:
4)  A clipboard map does not match up with the actual terrain.

maybe make the map change to the next one in rotation if there are enough resets in a certain time length?

Yup Pizza really sucks and Big Isles makes Pizza look good... :rolleyes:
