I wish to inform everyone that I dont care for the Big Island map.

In keeping with the normal tone of map posts, I hereby request that it be removed from the rotation.

I will give HTC untill Dec 15, 2003  09:00 EST to implement this.

If it is not done I shall immediately be forced to start  jumping up and down, stomping my feet and holding my breath untill I turn blue.

The big isles are great if there is a cv fight..  mostly there isn't tho..  The reasons vary but they are mostly that the CV's are too vulnerable and the enemies of fun go where the action is to turn itinto the place where the action isn't...  too easy for those guys on big isles and pizza cause there ain't many places where the action is.

Oh... the ct was kinda fun tho.. sorta like what the big isles could be like if the cv's stayed up and fighting a while.

BI is ok as long as your on a mainland.. goodguys or badguys mainland.. The middle parts are abit lacking.. Needs more bases.... The color is very nice though... compared to the scorched earth effect of pizza..

I agree completely with this.  I have found (in my limited experience) that this is a very consistent phenomenon on this map--nothing for long periods of time, and then when a CV approaches a base there is a fight.  Not a vultch either, until one or the other of the teams is pushed back.  The reason for this is because a CV is really nothing more or less than a close base.

I did find a very nice CV-less fight the other day, I think it was Knight-Bish near A20.  But still I feel that this is the exception, and it occured more by accident than plan.

The trick to the middle islands on this map would be to make even more ports, so that you get a mass of cvs all over the place.  When this map originally came out I thought that was the intention, but realized they did not create enough ports.
