Major Reed said he responded to Saddam: "President Bush sends his regards."

No kidding really. I thought he must have just got off the phone with him.
Classic glib line for someone who had been in country for so long doing what has to be done under harsh conditions.

The reason I mention that is a news columnist was actually dumb enough to imply it was Bush's words in the press interview portion of the speech today.
