Title: Canada - US relations

Will improve under Prime Minsiter Martin.
Cretien liked poking uncaged tigers too much. And he was stupid.

Not correct. They could go way way down. Our trade relations are fine, our troops are supporting yours in Afganistan and the persian gulf, Our quarterbacks are playing in your football teams and your quarterbacks are playing in ours. Your CEOs are running our companies and ours are running yours. We have the longest open border in the world and we share the best looking woman in the world.
Things could be way way worse.

It's not that bad even though we're "bastards" hated by some Canadians.  It's not as if B-52s are targeting Hockey rinks in Canada just to be mean.

I remember when I first discovered that the band Rush was from Canada.  I was thrilled and full of pride that my people had immigrated so far north into the untamed masses of trees, and lakes.  That my people could play instruments so far into the northern cold.....I was proud that they could write lyrics so well and record with such engineering and production excellence.

Because of the singular accomplishment known as Rush, Canada will always hold a special place in my heart.

I'm grateful for Canadian help in Afghanistan and I can understand if your country didn't want to take part in the Iraq war.  The 'problem' was your PM and government just wouldn't  let it go at that and started pointing 'moral' fingers at the US.   That just wasn't necessary and it caused a lot on unneeded hardship for everyone.

We thought we did.  But the natives insist the country we annexed is called "Afganistan" or something.  Maps are so confusing.

Oh Canaduh...

Ummm excuse me when did our PM jump for Bush?

As far as I know George W is too scared to call Aunty Helen (something about her trying to slip him the tongue?)

Honestly I don't see how Americans can be upset at Canadians regarding Iraq.  Canada did their share in Afghanistan, and their armed forces have major funding/manpower/logistical issues which can't be fixed in the short term.

It could be worse, we could have Mexico on our borde....nevermind.

I would however like thank our Yankian friends for inventing mass produced porn.

I can think of a few specific Yankians responsible for this... the Clinton Administration.

Thats nice of you to say funked. But if we had a military as big as Isreal we wouldnt be in Iraq.  Even if we had sent just 2 guys it would have included us in the 'willing' but we wouldnt even do that. Our ships are still there hunting terrorists but Canada was not interested in participating in the invasion of Iraq.

Actually, there are no RCN ships currently deployed in the Gulf.  HMCS Calgary, the last one on station, came home this week.
