I've had racing withdrawal from F1... for about ten years.
-
I'm ok with the break, actually. This is the season for me to play on the computer or play with my son, instead of watching all the auto racing on TV.
You need to get yourself a family, Funked. Hell, just adopt a child. If it was good enough for MJ, it's good enough for you!

March 17 through the 20th. In the meantime, its RSDG mods and NR2003.
Also, these girls are not using proper volleyball techniques!

I dunno, their, uh, "technique" looks good to me. I'd be smiling if I was that ball, too. :)
-
F1? Zzzzzzzz
NASCAR? Zzzzzzz
Give me WRC or some vintage races. SCCA amatuer classes are pretty interesting too.
-
F1 is most technical of races but IMHO WRC is most challenging for the team, co-driver and driver.
After all they're usually driving 2-3 days from early morning to the late evening and that's where men are separated from the boys.
-
Heh.. TPI I'm going to do a few SCCA amuature races here next year with a Spec Miata if the car gets done in time... Theirs still lots of work to be done ( Still needs roll cage).
Funk you should take up Autocrossing, or Track events. You can get your own personal fix once or twice a month! :D
I got to play in the rain a few days ago..it was odd normally we get a large turn out for WRX's when it rains not one showed up... I tell you we had 6 Z06's show man that was a fun sight.
-
FUNKED, what are you talking about, next month. Then off to Bad Homburg to watch the start.

Hey, while we're on the topic of racing, what's a good racing sim besides EA's F1 series and Papyrus/Sierra Sports' Nascar Racing 2003 Season? Santa is coming so I might as well score a game while I can (otherwise I'll have to float the expenditure through the House Appropriations Committee).
Colin McRae Rally series?
-
Colin Mcrae 3 is ass. Total ripoff.
Rally Trophy is the only decent rally sim I have seen in a long time. Hard to find, but worth it, especially with mods.
Live For Speed is probably the best non-papy road race sim I have tried in a long time.
-
Live for Speed? You mean Need for Speed? I actually considered two of those: Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Need For Speed Underground (bunch of 2Fast2Furious cars zipping around downtown setting) but I wasn't sure if it was arcade-ish or not.
I think my local Computer City may have some copies of Rallye Trophy on their shelves. Might even be in the bargain bin. I'll verify before whispering to Santa.

gotta agree with funky colin mcrae is arcade racer only, something you would play on a PS2 or something.
Live for speed is kinda cool
1. GPL
2. N2003
3. F1 challenge
4. I have mixed opinions on rally trophy (still the best rally sim though)
5. DTR 2 can be fun too

Well, well, well! That looks extremely interesting. I'll have to figure out a way around the Pounds-to-dollars conversion thingy.
-
Their commerce site handles the conversion.
-
Aint it funny after all these years GPL is still the big Daddy in racing Sims.:aok
