Title: Question for Webmasters
Post by: United on December 16, 2003, 03:06:49 PM
I just got Macromedia Studio 6.0 the other day and was really excited that I would be able to ad animation to my website.  Turns out my web editing software says that .fla endings are not supported by it.  I tried in Macromedia to change the ending but it will only give .fla endings.

I have Microsoft Frontpage 2000, stock edition.

Can anyone tell me how I can get it to support the .fla endings, or what I can change the .fla to so that it will still work, yet be supported by FP also?

You should be able to export the file as a *.swf.

If it works in the same way that "Flash MX" does, simply press CTRL-ENTER, and watch the movie... this process also creates a *.swf file suitable for web use.

There's also a "publish" command in there that will export a *.swf file.
