Title: Blitz Krieg Field Tactic (POST TACTICS AND STRATEGIES HERE)
Post by: Kommandant on December 18, 2003, 10:02:59 PM
This may or may not be any help, But here is the best way I have found to take a base...

Find a base that you have easy access too and has no darbar. Grab atleast four others. One for a Goon, two for support, and two for town. fly on in NOE and loose all ordinance on town, then the two for support fly around and pick off any enemy fighters. The two on town level it then goto Support. The goon comes in and drops.

In this tactic I usually don't even go after base ack, and VH is not manditory. In my experience It has worked about 80% of the time.

I am currently gathering all the strategy tactics I can to become a Krieg Kommandant or War Commander. I don't want to command a Squad, I just want to command a flight when we are in a Battle.

So far it has worked suprisingly well.

the sadd thing about this plan is that if the base puts up anykind of real defence like 2 flaks uping or 4 fighters or both

its doomed:rolleyes:

Is taking a base more fun than fighting other real people?

Well yes, but keep in mind this is if you want to take a base.

because AI sucks?

Im not saying i try and avoid all contact with enemy cons, but taking bases is the name of this game, not furballing

I was not refering to furballing.  I was refering to combat.

If you would prefer not to encounter other players, then that is sad.

Yes this post just proves that some people consider toolsheds and churches the most entertaining thing in this game.

Remind me again why you people pay to fly in an arena against other living people?

You left out the part where everyone augers after dropping, so that they can get new planes and try again.

i didnt say that, id rather take bases than fight a endless and pointless furball that has no end result other than perks/score

ahem. The name of the game is not "Porkers Hi!" it's "Aces"  High. Dogfighting may be pointless in the scheme of tings (which there is no scheme but you keep on thinking there is) but it's still player-vs-player action. Not player vs 3D graphics tile.

"because AI sucks? "

You mean it sux as in getting your arse kicked by them? So you 'd rather  attack undefended "bases" and high five each other for whooping the unholy snott out of AI-less, unanimated, pixelated "brick"?

lol

getting my bellybutton kicked by AI???   AI is so predictable is laughable. which is why i play AH, there is very little AI... I dont think you know what AI is...AI is a computer controled object. I mean, look at IL2:FB, fire a shot at the AI, and it freezes, flies straight and level until you shoot it down

As ive said before, theres two ways of seeing these games... For instance here is AH and Counterstrike comparison

AH players that only furball are much like CS players that dont care about bomb plants or rescueing hostages, they just want to shoot anything that moves and run around the map like a headless chicken. Thats boring and over done. Thats what Quake or FFA H2H is for.

People that try and play the game right, by taking bases or Planting bombs in CS are often called lamers, or Dweebs in AH language, yet they are playing the game the way they THINK its ment to be played....

Afterall, if you wasnt ment to capture bases, why did HTC allow you to?

I dont want to take all bases undefended, but the odd base here or there is a great way of making good action later for a attack on multiple fronts.
