Man, I didn't think these guys could make me look forward to anything again. I was a beta tester of CK back when ICI was still with Domark and stuck around until 2.sumthing when I just thought WB had become flat (and too expensive). I am really excited to hear that the guys who made WWII online gaming so intense are finally putting out a product that will include everything Domark had promised us back many moons ago.
I am crossing my fingers and hoping that AH will destroy WB (not a iMOL fan).

Hmm are you certain AH will include rescue helicopters like Domark promissed CK would? I hope not.

Ah the good old days of Beta. Does make you kind of want to wallow in nostalgia. We do tend to remember the good stuff and forget the bad however. Along with the fun stuff we had uber zekes, terrain that was 5 shades too dark to see, and too big; mustangs with drag free flaps. (etc etc) I think we were a bit less jaded, and our expectations were lower in those days. Peoples tolerance levels for those "beta features" which we recall from CK beta with amusement, will probably be much lower now. The Bar has been raised, even for beta. Peoples demands and expectations are much higher, and the shrillness of beta flyers reaches unacceptable decibel levels all too quickly these days. Guys trying to protect the FM turf of "their" aircraft and such, is just too frequent.
I intend to beta AH, (if nothing else than to evaluate it so I can write a review), but I rather doubt the "beta honeymoon" will last very long on the boards.
If possible I will try to have fun doing it, although intial pings to the HTcreations domain IP don't look too promising right now.

Well, I have always been very tolerant of beta tests (I have to be since I have beta tested 7 games thhis year). I don't expect too much and usually just play to find the problems so that I can report them.
However, if the final release is poor then I am willing to pounce. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

For myself "beta" means the opportunity to participate in a hard piece of work in order to get a real good product as reward. I close my ears and eyes to messages demanding
a nearly perfect product in "beta" stage.
Let's all pull on one string to achieve "community" again. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
