:( sad but heroic
-
Wow, very nicely put together. The music was terrific but the words on the screen went just a tad too fast for me.
-
That is il2 right?
I hope ah2 has that damage model...that movie was incredible!
-
Oh no, thats B17 Flying Fortress: The Mighty Eighth. Great game. One of the best I've ever played. Thats probably the best movie I have ever seen of any flight sim. Wonderful job. Its a great movie and it is great what you did.
-
Well, it's a mix of both.
The director of the film was clever - mixed footages with same B-17 camos for both sims.. the ground, take off, interior scenes were from B-17:Mighty 8th, and exterior footages are from FB.
-
A very good pice of work; thanks for the link.
-
Beautifull, historical ,emotional and very nicely done.
One should appreciate the time it took to put such a movie together. (Music was a perfect match)
I also think it's the best Flight Sim movie i've seen.

Nice stuff, think the guys over at SimHq would be interested in seeing this. Hope it doesn't kill his bandwidth to do it.
Beautiful job mixing the B17II film with the IL2 stuff. It really is too bad about B-17FFII, it could have been so much more than it was.

Here is the web address to a bunch of IL-2 moives like that one. Honestly if you don't have a broadband connection or DSL it takes a while for it to download.
Wiley's ww2 Gun Camera Site (http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/flightsims/oberstguncam/Frameset/index2.htm)
I myself have been playing around making moives with it and AH.
Here is my first IL-2 Movie http://www.colstream.neptune.com
I haven't gotten into the historic aspect of it... but will be soon.
-

He was probably using either Adobe Premeire or Sony Vegas... pretty much the high end of video editing... I would be very surprised if he was using something else...
-
Very awesome video.
-
Hey that was a good film,,,
but i fell asleep during the opening credits, , , way too long, , ,
i looks great and tells a great story but it could be cut down to half the length.
the pace can bee taken up a notch or 2.
but keep em coming.
Man IL-2 sure does look good, , ,, , If aces High looke like that would be the best game ever!

A worthy effort. Must have been alot of work.
I didn't finish watching it. Opening credits almost ended it reeely early. In about half way what little interest it sparked faded away.
Didn't do it for me.

If you like movies like this, try the movie Bellum by ST_Pawnee. It's about as long as Dies Irae was but well worth it. The video editing in Bellum is just fantastic.

FYI, try these from home not work. They are redirecting you to an abnormal port (8372) and you are sure to attract the attention of the IT Nazis if you do it from work :)
-
I cant get it at home.It mentions that number also.
-
Very sad.:(
-
And that is one of the older films.
-
Wow! Probably the best, most poignant movie I've seen yet.
