HI once again my pc knowledge shines through:( ,i think that says it all.Can anyone tell me if there is a way of finding out what video card i have without actully phyisically taking it out. I am on windows xp pro..thanks FireItUp!!.. :aok

Fireitup,
Go to your Start button and click it...then where you see the run line...click Run....then type in the window dxdiag
This will run your direct x diagnostics....you can then go through the tabs and they will tell you PLENTY about your system and the name of your card, drivers, mem etc...
Let me know if that helps ya out!

Another way you can check is to do this!!!!!
Go to your desktop and right click....
You should then click on the settings tab....
Then look at the adapter portion....this can tell you what card you have as well....
maybe that helped?
Good Luck!:aok

Maybe what gutboy said but, goto start\settings\control panel\system\ hardware tab \device manager button\display adaptor.

For Win98:
Right click My Computer / properties / device manager / display adapters.
