I have the sad duty to report that another Aces High player has passed on.

Very recently, VX, formerly of the =Ghosts=, lost his fight with inoperable brain cancer.

VX began flying sims in Air Warrior. When the =Ghosts= reformed in Aces High, VX was one of the initial members. He was among the finest people that I've been fortunate to get to know in Aces High.

VX is deeply missed by his family, friends and squad members. The =Ghosts= offer their prayers and best wishes to VX's family and we know he now has real wings with which to fly.

The following members of the =Ghosts= offer our biggest to our fallen friend. We will continue to carry his name on the squadron roster.

I was truly saddened when I heard the news on squad vox this evening.  My condolences to VX's family.

I believe that VX of the =Ghosts= was once ^VX^ of the Shills.

During the AW days, we had a small contingent of FR pilots who wanted to convert us RR dweebs.

VX took me to school in the FR arena. On our First duel, he must have been cutting me some slack since I was an RR dork. I used a verticle lead turn and shot him down in a hurry.

That was the only time I ever got the better of him. Once he turned it on for real it was over before it began.

The FR branch never panned out, and we lost some damn good pilots and comrades when they disolved. I had hoped that we would see VX again in AH, but I'm not at all surprised that he found a home with the Ghosts.

VX, when we meet again, we'll give the La5 duel another shot. Only this time I get a 5k alt advantage.

Please keep us posted as I'm sure we'll have several Shills on hand to say good bye.

My boss died of brain cancer 2 weeks ago, he died one month after he got the diagnose from the doctor...

 Your Salutes are greatly appreciated!

 The flyby for VX will be held Tuesday December 23, 2003 at 9:00PM EST in the Training Arena.
 All interested are invited to join the =GHOSTS= in the flyby. A general wing will lead off with the =GHOSTS= Squadron following in, then a Missing Man Formation to finish. Screenshots and film will be posted on the site by Saturday of this week.
