Hi all
I am looking to build the following system in the new year, mainly to be used for AH, Music production, and digitisation of old VHS tapes to DVD.
Can anyone see any obvious problems or conflicts with this spec ? .
Antec LS138 Sonata-UK Case
Asus P4P800 Delux Motherboard
Intel P4 2.6C 800MHz Bus CPU
Kingston HyperX DDR400 512mb x 2
3.5 Floppy Drive x 1
ATI Radeon 9800XT Graphics Card
Maxtor (or similar) 200GB 7200 Hard drive x 2
LG GSA-4040B DVD Writer
Liteon LTC4816H CD-Rom
Pinnacle Studio Deluxe Video Capture Board
EgoSys WamiRack 24 Sound Card
Audigy Sound card or similar for AH
Win XP
Thats it - all comments will be appreciated

I don't see any problems with your choices. About the only thing I can recommend is to pick up another 120 mm Antec casefan to go in the front of the Sonata. That's going to be a lot of heat for the one 120mm in the rear to take case of alone.

Thanks for that Bloom - good idea about the second fan, I will include it as part of the build.

Nice setup. :aok
Only one very minor suggestion. Have you considered using SATA hard drives over IDE. The cost is only a small amount more and a SATA drive will allow you to get rid of some of the bulky cabling associated with IDE drives etc. It will reduce case clutter, posssibly giving your fans a less obstructed cooling path.
