I do agree with his assertation that everyone was acting like a love-struck loser who had never talked to a "girl" before during the stripper thread episode.

I agree that maybe, just maybe, some people might want to look for a real girl...you know, the ones that you can see and actually talk to you in person.

Some of the things that were said at the SW board stereotyping the guys here left me a little flat. I wanted to defend those over here. But it turns out that most here acted just like they expected when talking to a "stripper".

Sad thing. I doubt that most of you realize you might have talked to several people pretending to be "strippers."

Just as Creamo and Funkypants pretended to be "strippers", I can only imagine who was pretending to be "strippers" or "women" for that matter.

This whole situation was funny for a few very specific reasons. Checksix was touted as a place where anyone could say anything without fear of banning. The great irony is that if you read the posts over there (from the AH forum) there's really nothing that couldn't be posted over here with the exception of porn. Someone that insisted it should be OK to bash HTC on an HTC bbs banned someone using "my web space, my rules" as an excuse. It serves as an example for all who hammer on the heavy handedness of people at a corperate bbs. Hell... it wasn't even my intention.

After some of the content that was being posted on my forums...and the fact my customers, friends, family and others post/read there...I had to enforce some rules and Acceptable Use Policy. Pretty standard for most forums. A point of ridicule for MiniD.

Either way, anyone who glances at the forums sees that it's pretty loose as far as rules go. And there are very few times I have had to wear the Admin cape and enforce them.

My forums are tidal...when there's a banning or something controversial that can't be elaborated on here with colorful metaphors, it finds its way to mine. That's fine and for the most part, quite fun.

We all have a good time here and there, teasing one another in good humor. What Mini doesn't seem to understand, and as Kieren pointed out nicely, is that pointed personal attacks are uncool. Those sorts of things aren't welome anywhere I can think of.

I thought maybe I was being too thin skinned over the entire ordeal, so I unbanned the guy. Just ignore him...whatever. Nope, the attacks continue.

So...I'll just let Mini do what he does best..tear apart phrases, act as though he is the intellectual compass we all strive to be...and be the inflammatory putz he strikes me as being.

And none of your attacks are personal LePaul? Try reading that "where have our beautiful girls gone" posts again. You seem to think I got personal, even though everyone else said the exact same thing, in response to everyone, you kept posting "that damn MiniD". Dude... it wasn't me being personal in that thread. You thought this out yourself and came to a conclusion LePaul? There was some kind of peace pipe offered up? You took the moral high ground?

You want to handle a situation with a moderator, then do it privately via email. Public bashing of moderators at any bulletin board serves no purpose.
