Ann Coulter talking action figure to drive my liberal friends crazy with
Leather valet
And the neatest gift, compiled by my sister in law. A complete history and genealogy of my wife's family. She knows of my love of history and we had talked many months ago about her research and speculation that there may be connection to General Robert E. Lee in my wife's family. That was the last I heard of it. Well she apparently found the link. General Lee was a distant cousin. Pretty neat for my son and daughter to learn about when they are old enough. I guess I did marry good stock...too bad she didn't...:D

i felt terrible.
spent maybe $120 total on 11 people. thats all i had. (actually all on credit card i didnt have any)
luckily all the gifts i gave were needed and wanted... real useful stuff.
i gave:- williams sonoma gift card (cousin LOVES that store)
- 16oz eastwig hammer (best bud needed a smaller hammer he only had a 20oz)
- straight avaition snip (bud broke his 2 weeks ago)
- stud finder (stepdad was asking for 1 for months)
- bottle of malibu rum (buds wife just had baby... now she can drink again)
- laptop backpak (sis lugs laptop to school with no bag for it)
- server tower roller (http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/searchdetail.asp?T1=108+0130) (bud's tower gets moved alot and just slides it)
- battery rack (http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/searchdetail.asp?T1=141+0465)(family with 4 kids has TONS of batteries)
- trans siberan orchestra CD (buds wife really wanted and noone could find it sold out everywhere)
- golf bag watch (the clip on pocket kind that my dad wanted)
- slippers (stepdad wore a hole in his last month)
- a few other gift cards for people
overall i think they liked what i gave them..... hopefully

The problem I have is remembering it all.
Mostly toys for my two boys. They were inundated with them.
Interestingly enough only two presents really stand out as evidenced by their excitement and length of "play-time".
My two year old wanted a guitar. When we asked him what he wanted to get last Sunday he said "Tar, Tar" and make the motions as if he was playing. The wife asked him if that was what he wanted from us, whereupon he said "Tanta". Luckily the music store had one tiny kid sized acoustic guitar left. Santa left it for him propped up against his stocking. :)
My oldest received a bunch of toys. Rescue action figures, cars, bikes, planes, balls (I got him a nerf football that screams when you throw and catch it as well as a football [soccer]), etc etc. I also got both of the boys a balsa wood bi-plane which costs just a couple of bucks. It now never leaves the side of the older boy.
Took this right before the wife and I went to sleep on Christmas Eve. Note the empty milk glass and remenants of a carrot on the plate left for Santa and the reindeer. ;)

Yeah, hangovers are avoidable, but when you are mixing beer with wine, scotch, baileys, and a very sweet and powerful spirit clandestine made from coconut you just cant take any precautions that will stop the tsunami of pain.
