Title: Not AH trouble but enough techs here to maybe help
Post by: CanDoKevin on December 27, 2003, 09:34:07 PM
My clock in the task bar won't stay set. It stays at what ever time it was the night before when I truned it off, So I figure it is the m/b battery so today I put the meter on it and it only has 1.8v of a 3.0v battery. My question is can I just take the battery out and put a new one in or will my comp forget everything it has learned :D . I have never replaced a battery on a m/b before I have always upgraded the m/b before battery was a problem. However I love this m/b and want to keep it (SOYO Dragoon platuinm) about 2 years old. Or do I just say nice m/b and go buy the dragoon 600. Seems in the old days you had to buy a kit that hooked a battery to a jumper and then you swapped out the battery.

Bios has already lost its memory anyway, go ahead & replace it, just be very careful handling it.
