Is there any way to accurately gauge the number of subscribers AH has? Just curious....
-
Bummer, thought this was a submarine troll... :p
-
Not a troll, Mr HiTech (or was that Pyro) once stated in an interview that they were planning to get some subs in here... I am waiting.
And I'm curious about those Nrs too.
-
Yea I remember that interview. It was a joke Saw. ;)
-
number of people on at prime time x10
ie:
500x10=5000
rough formula but its ussually accurate
-
Saw score on the roster the other night that was 5120. So, at least that many, I'd guess.

i saw ranks of around 4900 a few months ago... but i heard something about that real high rank not being the total number.
if i had to hazard a guess there is probably 6000-7000 user accounts in the database but maybe 1000 or more are old non-used CPID's (like somone who sets up a 2 week trial doesn't subscribe and never notifies HTC about quitting)
maybe 1000 or so who dont have stats for the tour so too.
their rank would be 0 so the 5120 or whatever the worst rank is wouldn't take that into account.
oh well another lame thought by yours truly.
Ps. HTC would you maybe let us know if you hit a milestone like 10,000 paid subscribers?? that would be kinda cool to know.

Hehe. Add 1 onto that, I plan on going AH career mode!

It was a Joke ? :(

Dipstick's post was a joke. HiTech's comments about having subs eventually aren't a joke. :)

Interesting numbers - good to see that AH is going strong, presumably the same 10% would apply to other flight sims as well, which would appear to be struggling a bit if that is the case.

yes its a universal formula for any online game

i think we increse numbers about 15-20% last year
max number at MA during free month last (spring 2003) was around 500-550
