Ok, having been using analogue CH pedals with a TM Cougar, I've decided to go back to a CH setup (Fighterstick and Pro Throttle USB) but would like to keep using the analogue pedals.
As the Cougar is still recognised in Windows (albeit with sticking pots/knackered switches etc) I'd hoped to leave the pedals connected via the Cougar and just setup the axis within AH for the new CH rig. However, plugging in the CH stick & throttle today left me with a problem. All devices are recognised in Windows, as they are in AH. However, although I can select the Fighterstick within the game and change it over to control the X and Y axis, no device inputs are recieved. Likwise for the throttle.
So both USB CH items are seen by AH, but it cant recognise any control inputs (although the rudders work fine). If I disconnect the Cougar (and rudders) altogether then the USB stick and throttle suddenly start working troublefree. I'm just at a loss as to why all the device axis are read in Windows, yet somehow AH isn't seeing them?
Any suggestions appreciated.

I know the CH programming software will allow you to set up axis different than the one the Cougar is probably using.

Are the Axis still being shared?

Well, Windows recognises all the Axis, it's just that AH does not. Perhaps it's something about the way the Cougar configures it's HID compliant devices... either way if I disable as many Cougar axis as possible within Windows, AH still won't recognise any CH input at all, unless the Cougar is disconnected altogether. The CH Control manager of course won't recognise the Cougar, but theoretically that shouldn't matter in game so long as Windows does.
Hmmmm

If your useing win 2k or up for a o/s, you cannot mix analog/ USB devices (at least, thats my understanding)

Flit, the analogue pedals are connected via the USB Cougar, which is effectively acting as a gameport-USB adaptor. With such a device (Radioshack aslo do one) I know some folks here still use analogue equipment within XP. Maybe I need to try a different adaptor...

Well, I can tell you that is NOT true for WinXP Pro.
I run my Saitek X45, and previously my X36, right
along with my analog gameport CH pedals. No problem
at all. You just need to plug in a joystick with the
pedals so the axis/buttons are "satisfied" when calibrating
and from there it's just a matter of mapping the correct
axis in AH.

Vladd,
I and a few others I know are using a gameport to USB adapter for CH stuff,
it just shows up as USB adapter in game controllers instead of joystick. I use one from Radio Shack it comes with easy instructions on how to set it up. also you can duel boot 98/XP on a hard drive and make it work too

Thanks for the replies, ordered an adaptor today, hopefully that will take care of it.

Reckon I wasted $300 then ):

Ouch Flit!
I got the adaptor and yes, it's done the trick for me. I'm now using the analogue Pro Pedals together with the USB stick and throttle in XP, with no problems.

I think you can use the CH Pedals with an adaptor - however if you are using a analogue stick - I had the F16 flitestick - ChPro stopped supporting the mapping function for XP - so had to upgrade to a USB stick.
Sold both the stick and pedals to someone who still used 98 and used the cash to upgrade to USB - was still expensive though.
