Title: I am now totally confused
Post by: United on January 01, 2004, 12:15:04 AM
I have come to find out that CFS2 works, with my 8 MB video card, on my new laptop, yet AH doesnt.  I'm very surprised at this because you would think that CFS2 would demand a better graphics card than AH, but it doesnt.  How is this?

well my guess would be that AH (as it is right now) is a fairly new game.  I don't remember the date this version was released but it was fairly recently (in 2003 anyway). so was made to take advantage of the hardware available at that time.

CFS2 was what? 2? 3? years ago. so had to run on the 8, 16 and 32 mb cards that where available at that time

I dont know.  This computer is so old that I cant do much on it. I got it mainly for webpage and non-gaming type stuff anyways.  I tried AH just to see if it worked.  Its not a big loss, since I have a different PC for gaming, but it kind of surprised me that CFS2 works and AH didn't.

That explains a lot about it working for the older cards.  Never thought about it that way.  Thanks.
