For those interested in a Historical Match-up
I'd like to offer a Player Set-Up for Thursday Night at 8:30PM EST USA
Fields:
KNIGHT 16:
Only P51's,Spitfires,& La-5's (no ext. ordinance allowed)
Bishop 5:
Only MC .205's, FW190's,& BF109's (No ext. ordinance again)
*****We could put together a Very Small PAC battle another night (F4u vs George)****
It will take cooperation from those in the arena in order to try it out. As we can't make anyone do anything,we could ask politely for cooperation to keep it fun.
For those interested Please state your preference:
Your Handle and either Allied or Axis
I would ask we keep ordinance/and bombers out for this first try.No ack destruction at these 2 fields in order to discourage vultching for this one event.Just clean fun Fighter Sweeps with a Historical Match-UP flavor.

I'm in. I'll fly whichever side needs more pilots to even the odds. That's what I miss most about Warbirds, historical matchups. I probably won't be be a paying player of AH unless there is a historical arena, or the ability for players to set up arena for historical battles.

I will try to make it. Prefer flying an allied plane, spit or 51, but will fly for either side in any plane to balance things out.

Thanks for support guys! Its shaping up to be
a good night of Historical Based Dogfighting.
Suggestions: Lets try and float the word out
a Little in the Main Arena tonight and Thursday in order to prepare those that DON'T
read these boards in order to:
A) bolster cooperation
B) Deter interference
If we can get a view more folks, maybe the 2 adjacent fields would also work out.

Most folks observed our requests for following the plane-set and others....... well, not much one can do except ask.
Looking foward to a Historical Arena.
And hoping they call the Main Arena the Non-Historical Arena in order to spread out
the gameplay.

Had a great time tonite. Was different flying the stang for a change. Haven't flown it much since I recieved my Hawg. Had some great fights and look forward to doing it again. Most respected us and steared clear.

Seriously, you guys should try Axis the next time... you'll get a whole new respect for those guys who fly LW exclusively. Getting caught between 5 or 6 stangs is no fun. And with it's puny ammo load (109), or awful climb (190) you can't afford to make a mistake.
Everyone involved behaved with class (except for those morons who refused to cooperate and flew off-type). Salute to all!

Had fun tonight. I came in late and wasn't sure of the objective but still had fun.
Would like to see a full scale scenario some time. Not sure if HT is ready for something like that but would be willing to help in any way.

Yessssssssssssssssssssss! This wuz a blast! I had some of the best fights I've had yet in AH; and the skill exibited by the LW pilots was awsome. Salute to the LW pilots! Those 109's in the canyons were truly evil to fight.. they controlled the vertical; we controlled the horizontal. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
I wonder if HT could limit the two fields for the appropriate aircraft.. this would cut down quite a bit on the interlopers.
For my part; I cleared no sixes of LW equipped knight AC engaged against legitimate LW (bish) AC in the area. Several times I flew off leaving some hapless Knight in a FW or 109 to the viscious attentions of the 'Real" LW Bishops... who dispatched these interlopers quite handily.

In Conclusion:
The AH Development Team is small and very busy I'm sure.This was an attempt to take an
intiative ( via the player community )to try
and experiment with the Historical Arena possibilities of AH without calling on the development team recourses.
I'm glad the Engagement was a success and Great Fun for all those the participated and
I hope those that weren't able to will try to
hook up with us this Sunday at NOON EST (NY, USA)
