Title: Kill Scoring
Post by: ET on May 23, 2001, 12:22:00 PM
I noticed when checking on my kills that in the squad scores and pilot scores I had 142 kills and in kill stats and kill stats in expanded format I had 152 kills.Any body have an explanation for the difference.

I believe it has something to do with ground kills.  Ground kills are not tallied in the regular “score” section if the mission was selected as “fighter”.  There is also a difference in deaths, I’m not sure on that one but I think it corresponds to crashing or being shot down.  Sure someone else has a better explanation, hope this helps some.

I thought the same thing, but ET does not have ANY fighter kills, ground nor air.  So it can't be the attack sortie scenario.

I can't figure it out either.

Interesting…

I see what you’re talking about now.  Could it have something to do with incidental deaths of planes on the ground from bombs?  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/confused.gif)

S!

There's the difference, because in the other stats ALL CREDITED kills(by ack while rolling etc.) are counted as in the other only the ones where U actually have HIT the target with own guns. This is my conclusion of the matter...

I dunno but for some reason I have 85 kills in the scores page, and 95 kills on the expanded format stats page.

It's wierd, we both have exactly 10 more kills in the stats area than on our scores.

Wierd.
