Its like getting all the best parts of daytime tv without the bad parts.
Hot women? Check!
Tight fitting clothing? Check!
Cleavage shots, tight abs, and close-ups of shapely legs? Check!
Sports cars? Check!
Good dialogue? I have no idea! I can't understand enough Spanish to know if the plot is ridiculous or not, but I could watch another hour or two of "Rebeca" on Telefutura.
Yeah, I'm "working from home" today to avoid getting my officemates sick with a chest cold.

Spanish channel chicks are always smokin' hot. Except some of the ones on the retarded gameshows. Plus, they always seem to be pissed off and have that "look" in their eyes.
-
The soaps are over and now I'm watching some 2-person "Kelly and Regis" type duo interview a beauty queen and her (boyfriend? husband?) on "en vivo" broadcast link-ups and she's got tears streaming out of her eyes while making dramatic gestures with her hands. I think she's saying something about squashing somebody like a bug, or a pig that doesn't fly straight, or something like that. I'm waiting for "Say hallo to mah leetle frend!"
This just keeps getting better!

Go to Oz and check their soaps...hubba hubba. I taped and taped and taped....then I learned we aint got PAL here :(

Google translated that to:
"Yes boys, also master to pretty women of telivision Spanish of the day." :D

If my wife hears Spanish on my office TV she gets all PO'd because she thinks I'm mastrubating. It doesn't seem fair we broadcast English programs in Spanish but not Spanish programs in English. Not that I care what the sluts are saying, but because I'm tired of my wife catching me with my pants around my ankles.

Does your office door have a lock?
-
Yes, but my wife has the only key.

I meant to say "I also love the beautiful women of Spanish daytime TV". Apparently the online translator thinks "love" means "master to"? A little TOO literal a translation, I think :p .
-
Yo amo las mujeras de las novelas.
KISS (Keep it simple stupid)
-
"Amo" can be a verb (1st person singular, present tense of "amar" --> "I love") or a substantive, which can be translated as "boss" or "owner".
I would also like to point out that these shows have no relation with Spain, other than the language used in them... and that we have hot girls here too ;)

I had the good fortune of sharing a dorm in England with some kind of senior class trip from a Spanish high school. While the girls were good looking for being a bit young, their teachers were absolutely gorgeous. The best looking women I saw in England were Spanish (and one German one). :)

I haven't watched any of the game shows. And you're right about them having that "look" in their eyes. Passion? Anger? Hard to distinguish between the two sometimes. But something is there, and it is intense.
Gotta scan the tv guide now to see what time "Rebeca" comes on today.

One of the Mexican ladies working for me once suggested that watching the "Novelas" (Soap Operas) was a great way to learn Spanish.
My wife disagreed!
