I've had cavities that hurt worse when the dentist worked on them.
The procedure itself is painless.

Post-op, very little pain, just wear some Tighty Whities for a few days after, and do  NOT lift anything over 5 lbs. like the doc tells ya..(Challenge for me, since thats how much my unit weighs!) otherwise you'll bust a blood vessel down yonder and turn all black and blue.  Take 3 days off, enjoy the pain killers (You don't really need them) and sit back and relax.

Lol, wtf is that supposed to mean?  My next car will be a jacked up Jeep Cherokee with meelions of floodlights on a light bar and those cool rotating pistol grip searchlights like the cop cars have and an airhorn and a big sticker on the back that says "if you can read this, roll me over."

Not that there's anything wrong with my Saturn. :D

SWEET! Do you and funkypants get together and share "4 wheel drift" stories about your "scoobies"?

Sway, Don't worry, that's not really me, funky and frogboy.  That's the "Icy Hot Stuntaz" who, I believe, can be found on the http://www.icyhotstuntaz.com.  Though, we all want to be like them.  Frogboy wants to be like them cause he's young and thinks they're cool.  Funky and I want to be like them because they're thin.

Monk, I believe the "1.5l SOHC 103hp" part was superimposed on the photo to show the rediculousness of the "riceboy" look.  Nothing cooler than adding 300 lbs of accessories to a car with 100hp in order to make it "go faster".

Nice bike Nacho... don't bring it to Oregon or you'll get run over.  It's not a very motorcycle friendly state.  Lots of loose gravel, potholes and people that change lanes without reason.

Oh... and here's a pic of my only ride these days:

Rip... it's not about what manufacturer profits by it, it's about liking the car.  I like a mini, not because BMW is the parent company of mini, but because I like the mini.  Elitist is viewing the mini as an "entry level BMW" or even caring who the parent company is.

I don't expect you to see the difference... that's your problem.

Here's my baby....I got this from some sucker selling it on EBAY
(http://www.warehousemotors.com/item_images/253-40230-1522.jpg)

Here's some of the accesories:
"Dangling" Tweeters
"Timex" Monster Tach
15 Inch Tri Star Wheels
9 Inch Alloy Exhaust
Custom Kamikazi-Combat Spoiler
Fog Lights
Front Mount
 Hood Scoop
Kenwood Cassette Stereo
Power Brakes
Removable Doors
Roof Scoop

The car is equipped with a stylish body kit by "suncast" (makers of fine gardening products and decorative edging) This 5inch garden trim accentuates the curves of the car and gives it a lowered menacing stance. The trim is mounted/stapled in such a way that it highlights the 9 Inch chrome trashcan that now functions as an exhaust. At the front of the car you will notice the large intercooler and the fog-lights to light up the boulevard so you can cruise for the ladies

Mini,

Rip's comment is not designed to imply 'laughter' at the ownership of a Mini.  Its designed to show you shooting yourself in the foot.

It could be misunderstanding, or it could be your typical female-like twisting of words, but based on your comments about car badges and yours truly, Im willing to bet youre just still looking for redemption after a 20 year old stripper planted her heel on your forehead.

Thanks!  I absolutely agree on the BMWs, very nice bikes, but in terms of value for the dollar...  I've ridden K-bikes, and spent a lot of time looking at the various R bikes and they are works of art.  I've also raced against them and gone up against them in the canyons, and they are definately not 100% better across the board.

I recently fell in love with a beautiful bike at a motorcycle show, an Augusta 750.  I can't remember the model name, but it was matte black, very nice looking.  If I was going to pay a premium for a bike, it'd be that one.

What, no classic or vintage car drivers here?

1965 Fairlane and a 1962 Thunderbird.

BTW, wife's car is a 2001 Saturn L300.  Don't count that thing out either, it puts out over 200hp and weighs about half of that Fairlane I drive.  I have been damned impressed by the acceleration that thing has.  I wouldn't put it up against one of those elite rice burners but it gets up to 110 a lot faster than most folks would think.

Swee ride wklink. The oldies are awesome. My dad had the first fuel injected corvette on the island. He never lost a race until he gave up racing and sold his vette. Wish he would have kept it tho, pictures will have to do. He also had a  old pickup, also sold. Gotta keep the classics alive! dont forget where our beefed up 850 HP cars came from:cool:

Ive won many shows in 3 years,  but ive still got a long way before its up to par..

Here are some of the modifications that i have made (BTW im not rich,  sponsors are a good thing :D )

Engine:  Zex Nitrous kit, MItsubishi Cold air Intake, Maxspeed 2.25" Cat back exhaust, NGK Platinum Spark Plugs... etc

Wheels:  ICON by APC and those are the 19" w64 models with yokohama prada spec-2's.

The next thing im planning on doing is a Motor Swap from a 2.5L Engine to a 3.0.  Gonna cost around $1700.

Just a game system?  C'mon, that's a perfect setup for putting in a car computer.  OBD-II connector to show what's going on in your engine in detail (I just bought one for $88), more sound options (MP3s, etc) with super detailed animated displays (eg, the visualizations in Media Player & Winamp), GPS for navigation, etc.  You could do all those with a car computer.  I built one three years ago for my Explorer, now with the recent advances I'm thinking of doing the same with my Buick Regal.

Title: Post Your Vehicles
Post by: lazs2 on January 09, 2004, 10:12:56 AM
funked... I have turned over a new leaf..  Gone is the flat, porous primer.... the new Healey colors are... black over red.   My new favorite paint is semi flat black.   as for the vents... believe it or not... they are australian exact replicas of Healey works vents of the sixties (chek out some pics of old rally cars) and cost way too much.

I have painted the car at least three times in 30 years but I like it in flat paint the best.   My Harleys were allways krylon black... easy care.

If the car or bike is neat enough you don't need a lot of chrome or paint..   On your car.... one of those color shifting $10,000 paint jobs might be a good investment tho.   Maybe some neon strips and those backward spinning wheel thingies.    That would be better than your current practice of cornering poor people trying to ignore you at the gas station and forcing them to read articles about the superiority of subaru in road and track and such from the library you keep in the trunk..

Oh... I am sorry about the rainbow bumper sticker I put on your car when you were here... I couldnt resist.

Completely agree!

I drive a 2002 Audi TT 225 Quattro Coupe
Wife drives a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Sport

I'm looking at the new S4, an M3, and possibly a WRX (with cash for mods) or a STi.

Of course there's always the Vette, I've always loved them but never owned one.

The new S4's are pretty nice to look at, but I havnt driven one yet.  Althuogh considerable slower than the E46 M3's, Audi makes fantastic interiors (remember the Nagaro Blue two tone interiors on the B5 S4s?  Drooolllll.....).

You know, that's interesting that your BMW gets 30 mpg, because my A4 gets the same, too, even with the 2.8L V6.

In fact, my Audi gets better mileage than my old 1996 Saturn SL2 1.9L!

Whats funny is...the 325i gets worse gas milege than the 330, 180 hp vs 225 hp.

330Ci = Manual: 21 mpg city/ 30 mpg hwy.
325Ci = Manual: 20 mpg / 29 mpg

I love the Nagaro Blue setup with the blue inserts.

No I haven't driven the E46 M3 yet and I probably shouldn't till I'm close to buying.  LOL

You know the E46 M3's a nice ride when your Audi's sale Rep who owned a highly modified B5 S4 (Imola yellow) sold it and now drives a brand new M3!  The Audi Rep has to drive his wife’s Porsche Boxter S to work (it's a Porsche/Audi dealership).

Well when I got her for $32k, with 12k miles, at an auction, I was floored to take it. Got her in 2001, most of the folks where there for some trucks, vans, SUV's, none were really interested in it... just was lucky.

I've been really thinking of selling the S2000 and getting one of these:

I drove the red one last month...it was pretty neat.  I think I want yellow though.

Citroen Xsara Wagon 2.0 HDi (Turbo Diesel), new.

Unbelievable performance for a diesel, that HDi (PSA Common Rail HDi, used on Peugeot's and Ford's (with different name, TDCi?)) has top torque at 1.900 rpm, so it really kicks bellybutton on normal driving.
Also, if you like even more power, it's done with a software update, no need to do any chip things. Fuel consumption is 4.9 litres / 100 km with a/c on. This was measured mixed city & highway driving.

Regardless of the performance, Volvo beats it on anything else. Previously I've had Volvo's, but as a new one, they are da*n expensive, but if I ever had that money, that would go to Volvo, it has the class on everything.
