Title: lockup trouble

Having trouble when using the hat switch on my saitek x45.  When I use the hat switch, the computer locks up and nothing will help except a reboot.    Very frustrating and cant seem to find a solution.  I have a usb wireless mouse and keyboard and am wondering if this is causing an issue.  Also have powered usb hub, but stick keyboard and mouse are hooked to back of computer, not run through hub.

windows xp
amd xp 2700
512 meg ram
asus nforce2
radeon 9600xt

This is killin me, any suggestions?
