Why is it that the CT staff seems so eager to accept player submitted post-WW2 setups yet never seem to move a budge to setup some excellent player submitted WW2 setups??
Just what does it take?
What should I expect though, seeing as how they chose the staff members based on how very little time they spend in the CT.
Let's just avoid the usual two amibiguous answers and move right on into "F you Bug".
VOTE BUG :aok

Vote the Bug! :aok :D

Hmmm We got some of the planes that have been into the Korean War and we might discussion about Korea War.
-
I will take a shot:
Because there is a difference between someone who spends their time and effort developing a set up, a map and skins to go with it and an allied farm boi who whines about every set up and demands to be catered to with no more effort then it took to type his whiney reply.
So a fellow who has worked at creating something has more sympathy and most likely will be given an opportunity to see his creation come to light at least once and the typical whiner will earn no more then the "F you Bug".
Quite a while ago I suggested to the major complainers that they should form their own "development group". Besides a private forum they have produced very little. They couldn’t even get that forum up with out Brady doing it for them so don't expect too much.
I hope this helps!!!
oops emoti thumbs up thingy goes here:

Hmmm ... spraying and praying it appears.
Ahhhh .... no access to the forum, Bratz? Maybe you need to ask Brady to fill you in more. There's a project in the pipe as you type. You, of course, will be booing it from the visitors gallery since you don't fly AH anymore. Heh ... you'll feel threatened about your failure as a CT staffer for the rest of your life, probably. ;) :aok

Brady is the moderator of that forum Arlo. Do you think he won't let me in?
I told him not to bother, as I don't have time to be of any help. I have never "booed" anyone’s work in term of terrains etc. I think that are all a benefit to the game.
Notice that I said:
Besides a private forum they have produced very little.
Is that not accurate? Also did it not take Brady to get "your"; as in the "groups" forum set up? I would also bet out of that "group" only 1 or 2 folks will actually do anything. Anyway good luck with all that, Vietnam included...
:aok

we need a midway setup for real:aok

This may be your biggest problem. What you think is a "benefit".
They couldn’t even get that forum up with out Brady doing it for them so don't expect too much. Ah yes, where would we be without Brady. No one else could have pulled it off I guess. Whats this about Brady? You been trash talking us to your pissy little lapdog?

Are we going to have a private forum for the group on the BBS? I havent received an email in awhile and am curious how much is going on.
Did you hear anything Brady?
Well?
And we are where on this?
LOL, like you will do anything except ***** and whine.....
A whole 10 days I see. Too hard to post it was up and running too I guess.
Nothing but your whining for someone else to take care of you.
Brady... help brady... well brady.... brady please... I said now Brady...
You must be a liberal...
-
Wow, you showed me. Now what am I going to do? Now everyone can read for themselves what was in that post. Curses, I have been exposed. Damn you lapdog! You have not not seen the last of me!
LOL, like you will do anything except ***** and whine.....
Damn, you got me again. I guess Ill quit and go back to the MA now.
Nothing but your whining for someone else to take care of you. Yep, just like in real life.
You must be a liberal...

Nope, it ain't accurate. Yep, Brady set it up. I suppose others could have but he did. If this makes you wanna goose step around your livingroom in celebration, well go for it. But you got a bad habit of pissing and moaning about what others are doing now that you had your turn, blew it and exited stage left. If you're jealous and want in then ask your buddy Brady for the key.
:D

Well none of you allied whiners have yet to do anything. After all the whining and crying and complaining you have done a big fat 0.
Yes anyone could have called skuzzy, but none of you did. Which is my point.
This thread asked why some one who puts in time to build his own playground gets a shot to try it out and why when every other allied farm boi who takes the time to ***** gets ignored.
I answered it correctly.
Even you yourself are too lazy or incompetent to search through the TE help file and forum to figure out the TE and have all but demanded that "someone", "anyone" help you. Weren't you going to retest a bunch of the AH aircraft? How's that coming along? I can guess...
Festerbria had a 512 map up in the MA in about 2 weeks and has since made several changes.
Many of these same-allied farm bois are in your group so its no wonder Brady was the one get your forum up. If not 3 months after the fact slash would still be crying. No wonder nothing has developed yet.
But as I said I wish you luck...
-
I can't blame you for wanting to steer clear of participating in the ct development group. You don't really have anything yourownself to offer but alot of pissing and moaning and carrying on.
So ... carry on. :aok

Batz,
Thanks for the comments however you are mistaken that Brady is the only moderator. In fact I had tried to get Skuzzy by email several times but never saw a response and I know why now. My ISP at that time was the issue and according to them the emails to certain addresses were blocked for whatever reason. Not the case now.
There is also a setup being put together that was scheduled to run on the 16th that Slash made the initial thoughts on and got it moving in the right direction. I say scheduled to run on the 16th since it has been postponed till my week in February.
Again thanks for your comments and suggestions here and in the past Batz.

Bug,
Anytime you want to put something together that is different than what has been run over and over please let me know. I am willing to help get it scheduled and working in the CT. In fact Bug if you would like to help out with the CT Development Group let me know.
Thanks

Bug; While I wrote that I think that would be a cool setup back on the 12th of December...What if we did this setup with a different map say from the New Guinea/New Britain perspective? Instead of reworking the same old Guadalcanal map we always use. At least with a new map it would have Guadalcanal represented but not in the same location. This is something to shoot for but I only hope we get the new TE before this setup is able to be run simply because from a personal standpoint a new map truly fits its theater of operations. Unless someone wants to hammer this map out in a matter of days. No I am not the person for that since I can't get the TE to work for longer than a few minutes at a time on my computer.

Reshcke,
I agree that it would be nice to have a new map to go with it, but like you said that is not likely to happen in just a matter of a few days.
The map to me isn't quite a concern as the planeset involved. If there is a better suited, existing map, even if it may be of a different region, I wouldn't be opposed to subbing it in.
But it was Warloc's setup and Guadalcanal was the map he picked.

Just a quick FYI, prety much untill early March were booked on the schedual for PAC set up's, their are a couple brand new PAC set up's in the offing the details of which will be forthcomming.
-
All Bradys has to do is agree to do my setup and I'll spend about 50 hours working on the Slot...
Seems like a good deal to me.. Why is Bradys so stubborn?
-
In late March/Early Aprial were open schedual wise for another PAC, you may be able to get one of the other staff to run your set up 10Bears, I already have a tenative commitment for my set up slots through March.

I bet they all invalve the N1J2-K

I would very much like to see a set-up of Pearl Harbor or Midway, as they were both very important historical battles. Maybe even the Coral Sea battle. There are still several battles in the ETO that could be a refreshing change as well.:aok

I've seen attempts on PH as an event in various ways. The particular fact that it was a complete surprise kinda negates it as a practical one. Unless maybe one side isn't told when the frame starts until about 5 minutes beforehand ... by email.
Ahem
