Title: Beta 9 - Ack damage not visible

I tried de-acking a field and found this is OK with messages for each I killed except there does not seem to be visible damage to the guns. Once I had got them all I could still see the guns clearly as before.

In fact the only way to tell which were still up is because they were the only ones shooting!
