Title: really in need of help?

evrytime i access my aces high from my start up menu i get this:
  C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\aceshigh.exe
     a device attached to the system is not functioning
        and then this:
  the ACESHIGH.EXE file is linked to missing export DSOUND.DLL:12
   
   what is wrong here i have no clue how to fix this problem to play the game?
   i have had an account here 4 a little while now an still haven't played the game yet?
please someone help me!

Update your sound drivers and directx.

It is probably DirectX.  You need to update it.  Hit the Tools->Windows Update option in Internet Explorer and grab it from there.
