I am interested in maybe a dialog of sorts to see how rotating squads are affecting the game.
I am CO of MOL. We rotate on the first of each month. Normally we have been switching between rook and knight. We are thinking about going Bish next month.
It seemed we were rotating exactly as another squad was so we altered our pattern by a month, and darned if I don't think the other squad did the same by coincidence.
What I am wondering is this: How many squads are rotating, what pattern they are following, and if there is any way we can work together in a way to try and not upset the arena balance?
I welcome any information or constructive ideas in this regard, maybe we can work out some plan or solution to the numbers problem.
Please dont throw a post in here irrelevant to the discussion, nor do we need anyone just telling us not to rotate.
Thanks
Dago

Curly is our CO.
We rotate at the start of each new month.
We are currently Rook and will be moving to Bishop.
I'm sure we can can change it, if you want to email me about it I will converse with my CO.

Thanks!

The problem with squad rotating, is occasionally they all rotate to the same country, or all rotate out of one country. Leaving a 'whipping boy' country.

Ooops, Assasins & AK leaving rooklands.....I see a target rich envirnonment in the coming future (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Cheers,

[Edit] well, I think my post fully qualify as unnecesary, sorry Dago, I just didn't read your whole text. Trying to improve my lousy one, on a more constructive way, I think It would be enough posting here under a thread called "Rotations for this tour" where each Squad goes. Respective CO's could iron the thing then, I guess.
Oh, and as paintmaw says, we (the non-rotating squads) appreciate the common sense and respect that your request implies...<S>

<SALUTE> Glad to see the Rotators trying to work schedules out , Great job guys .

Exactly hblair, that is what I am hoping we can minimize and why I started this thread.

Dago, I salute you. You are exactly correct in your asessment. This tour, both the AK's and the MOL, rotated from the knights to the Rooks, I believe. It left a huge hole in the Knights armour (pun intended). If only 1 had rotated to the knights at the start, the rotation out of 1 squad wouldn't have had as large an impact.
Thanks you guys for taking a look at this. I have been watching this for some time and recognized the pattern, but didn't wanna be a whiner (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif).

Currently the squad I fly in "THe Damned MKL" and "The Damned MKV" (We have about 60 total)does not currently rotate.
If a squad does rotate, does the squad stay intact or do you have to re-sign members?
Thanks

A squad changes country just by having each member go to "map" and change country to the new agreed upon country.

If the CO of each squad that rotates would send me their email address, I would like to open up some discussion between us about trying to keep some sort of balance going.
I think its worth a try.

the 56th FG rotates but not religously. We will stay with a country for 2 months or so. We have only rotated between rook and bushop and we are currently bishop now.

308 is also leaving Rooks at the end of this tour. Still awaiting results of the vote to see where we are going though. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Damn.. The 412th concluded a vote last week that decided we were moving to Bishop at the start of the new TOD.
It sounds to me that there is going to be alot of squads in Bishop next month.

Perhaps it may be better to stick to a "Home base", and let the countries rotate with the resets and not the squads? If, for instance, the top RH corner of the map was "Base Assasin", regardless of country, and the bottom RH corner of the map was "MOL" land regardless of country?
This would fix us, and turn every body else into motherless, no honour spinless rotaters (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
This'd make it easier for LLB, all he needs to do is up from the same quadrant every flight, he gets so confused every time we switch!

In spite of the poster's request;
Says Goehring to The Fuhrer. Meine Fuhrer next month the Luftwaffe will be switching to the Allied side. Says Fuhrer to Goehring, No Problemo meine leibching, I understand the 8th Air Force will take your place.
One of the nicest things about this game has been developing an actual loyalty to the Rooks which borders on patriotism (and I suppose insanity) Who the hell ever invented the idea of switching sides should probably be watched by the FBI as he's exhibiting a lack of loyalty in my book. On the other hand, somebody needs to watch the FBI.
Sorry for the unwanted editorial

P.S. As you can see the new squad we just started will not be having these logistical problems, LOL

We Buccaneers took a poll amongst the members as to whether to change countries. 1 said yes, 1 said no, and the rest didn't understand the question.

TY Funked, a piece of wisdom. I agree completely. As long as I got red icons to shoot at.

Thanks gents! However, as I said, it borders on insanity. Those of us who do look at our countrymen as friends will try to be tolerant and support the mercenary hordes as they come and go.
Enjoy!
