Becky Behnen was not available for comment. Nick Behnen, her husband and the property's former marketing executive, was reached at home by telephone but shouted a profanity at a reporter before hanging up.

With the advent of Indian gaming in California and other places nevada is just going to have to find a new income.  Gambeling is not going to get it anymore.

just goes to show how bad some unions are.  They closed down the employer of there members.  What good is a union if they're gonna cause u to lose your job?

I don't think you can blame the Culinary Union. Apparently they carried the casino for quite a while before having to take action and are finding jobs for their members. This looks more like a mismanagement situation at the casino.

The Horseshoe will keep its gaming license but will have to pay applicable gaming taxes and fees while the casino is closed. Prior to reopening, the casino will have to "secure the minimum bankroll requirements," the order noted.

If you're closing your casino and aren't permitted to do any gambling at all, why would you want to spend the money to keep your gaming license?

Sounds like the Horseshow needs a real humdinger of a floor show to fill that old rickety inn full of people; somebody with a lot of pull, a lot of recognition.  I know!  Wallace and Davis! (http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00004YNIX.01.LZZZZZZZ.jpg)
