Title: 4th and 26
Post by: Dnil on January 11, 2004, 07:17:31 PM
Give me a freaking break Green Bay.  My dead grandmother could have defended that.

Pathetic, that and Favre's pass at the end.

I'm betting my money on the afc this superbowl.  Indy and NE both look to tough to beat.

Oh I'm hurting for sure.  To just whip bellybutton and give it away in the 4th quarter again... Oh well, seems familiar, but Playoff football this year has been amazing, and nerve-racking to watch. I dig it. Never should have been able to enjoy the last 2 weeks anyway, thanks Vikes!

Trust me, the Panthers will demolish the Eagles. They would have beaten the Packers everyone would agree, but it won't happen obviously. Why would Sherman not take 3 points at the 1 yard line? Because he's a good coach, a TD would have capped a great drive, like he did in Tampa.

But who would give the game into the hands of the Packers trusted 4th quarter proven rotten defense instead of rushing Green for 8 yards on 4th and 1 to just end the game already? Sherman. He lost his balls on that one, and saved us a Panther pounding.

Great game though, after the last playoff games, these teams are not even in the same league.

I'm going to crawl in a bottle and hate Sherman for not running Green for 9"and the sure run the clock out win, and play AH in my misery, taking out every chute and crippled kill-steal plane in my path. :(

Don't rub it in! I will have to avoid ESPN all week till the next great weekend of football.

Man this IS the best time of the year, and finally the NFL has delivered.

Yo.... Egals!!!!   That Green Bay team sure was pretty...

It was interesting to watch both games. Either team from the morning would have decimated either NFC team that played in the afternoon.
Sad to see the packers not play playoff football though.

Man, I'm in pain. There are Otto's out there.

Pongo, agreed. I'll never look at 4th and 1 the same. Can anyone stop the Colts?

Sorry for double posting this soon .  I've said before that the Eagles get to the playoffs on desire and lose to talent.  I only watch the playoff's so I don't know a lot about Green Bay.  But, I do know that this game was fair and square and they lost to a team in overtime that didn't give up from a 14-0 deficit.

God bless ya Funkyshorts, you can still  find a Raider reference in the bleakest of times.

Man, I'm still bummed. Could Saurdork please reply something retarded to make me feel better about myself?

Officiating in all the play off games has been great this year so far.
Guys I was watching the game with were new Brett fans. They couldnt believe that he threw that ball. I just laughed. I love the guy..but thats Brett. There are 60 minutes in a game..but in any given game Brett will lose track of a few seconds usually in a painful way.
Im going to say that the Patriots will not stop the Colts.
Brady can hold a game together and do his part. But Manning can take a game away from you.

Im pretty sure that the Panthers will beat the Eagles.

Then Colts vs Panthers. Colts 34 Panthers 10

predictions aside, i think this guy musta played for either the 01 steelers or the raiders;

"I think that that team is not a very good team," said Titans guard Zach Piller. "It sickens me that we lost to them. I will not leave this stadium thinking we got beat by a better team."

Speaking of refs, did anyone else hear the whistle before the snap on the gw fg?  It looked to me like the Packers did.

Packers were trying to call back to back Time Outs, which you can't do. I gotta say tho, the officiating in the play offs has had some bizarre moments. What was up with Hockulee in the 1st Half? Do they drug test officials?

I'm not a huge football fan, but I do watch em.  This past weekend was awesome.  All the games were very close (3 had OT's!!) and pretty damn good match ups.

As a New Englander...I'm just wondering when the Patriots will blow it.  :)

Was that the official that sounded like he should have a bib on and be in the dentists chair?

Well, if Indy beats the Pats I can't complain. I'm a big football fan and one thing I wanted to see in my lifetime was see the Patriots reverse their fortune and win a superbowl. I was rewarded with them winning one of the most thrilling superbowls of all time. I said then that I would never complain about the Pats again. Besides, they gave us a hell of a season.

I really feel for the Titans, if not the Patriots, I would like to have seen the Titans in the superbowl.

Ever since Favre laid down for the sack title I lost all respect for him. Not enough bad things can happen to him in football to make me happy.

Right, but if an official messes up and blows his whistle they have to stop the play.  It's called an inadvertant whistle.  Not that I care, I hate the Packers.  I just want consistent officiating for the Bears run at the title next year.

Maybe they could borrow the ACC refs that worked the FSU/Florida game.
