There's a petition started to protect the memory of fallen soldiers. I think it would help to sign it.

The only opinions that matter are those of U.S. citizens. It is our planet. Deal with it.

I want to be bothered by this, but I see it as pretty harmless.

Me too Saur.

Well then I'd try harder to be bothered by it.

Many things that are disrespectful don't cause actual 'harm', Sardie. For consistencies sake, how would you react if a movie company etched the names of the characters that die in a war film on the Vietnam Memorial as an advertising stunt?
How would you feel if a shampoo company made a commercial that digitally manipulated footage of jewish prisoners being herded into a concentration camp shower with bottles of their product? A commercial where they then had manipulated footage showing the previously crying prisoners coming out of the showers with big smiles and vibrant hair and finishing with a Nazi soldier holding a bottle of the shampoo and saying "Now Juden-CLEAN!" to the camera?
Just because nobody was killed by the ad doesn't mean that it's not tasteless. The company has the first ammendment right to do that with their advertisement, and I have the same right to be saddened and choose not to purchase their product.
