Welcome to 1998.  :D

That's from Kai Tak, the old HK airport.  There are some videos from that airport with even worse landings, where engine pods are hitting the ground and parts are flying.  The reason for all the trouble is that the pilots have to make about a 60 degree right hand turn in the middle of the approach, due to proximity of a large hill (marked with a red/white checkerboard sign) to the airfield.

handsomehunk pilot overshoots the turn to final and nearly crashes a 747.  

Take a look at the windsock at the end of the runway, its indicating probably only 7-10 knots.  There was very little crosswind.  There aren't even ripples on the water.
