We have an institution known as the Royal Mail over here - together with envelopes and a stamp it can be delivered pretty much anywhere in the world!!

What is this "stamp" you refer to, some kind of euro socialist propoganda sticker?

I shudder to think how big an avi an hour long tv programme would be.

Saw it and it was cool. Bit like that Dambusters thing they did last year, although the RAF cadets used a real spitfire this time.

um...well it does Her Maj's head on it so the answer would be yes...

Spitty 9 in the programme flew 177 missions and got a kill on D-Day..apparently - looked very, very cool - as were the interviews with all the ex pilots.
-
The spit used was actually credited with the 1st kill on D-day.
