Title: 880 Squadron FAA celebrating!
Post by: Squire on January 13, 2004, 08:19:50 AM
February 2004 marks the 61st year to the month that the F4U-1 saw action for the 1st time!!!

Our "association" specially requests that we run this setup to celebrate this most auspicious occasion.

Thanks!

To echo what Brady has said the February setup I run will have something for everyone who has ever wanted a PAC with high speed aircraft.

We have done Okinawa 3 times now at least. Im sure I will enjoy your setup but we aren't asking for 1945, its all we get, 1942 or 1945 and nothing in between.

Squire I also have in my mind your setup that I would like to run with a different map. That is the real hold up on that end for me. Why don't you drop in on the CT Development Group board and see my idea for your setup.

To work within the system is to acknowledge that the system works.  Don't do it Warloc!!!

The current set-up, the upcoming Fin-Rus setup and this thread are but a few of many things that shows how flawed the current system is.  If only the illustrious "Volunteers" could actually get an inkling of a clue.

Support the Revolution instead!  VOTE BUG :aok

P.S.  I am also currently accepting applications for a "boot licker" position in case I ever do become a CT staffer.  The boot licker or butt kisser if you prefer, plays a very important role with public relations on this forum.

Will believe it when I see it.  "Soccer Wars" ain't making me a believer.

Slash you obviously have too much backbone to be an official boot licker,  I'm sorry but that's not what I'm looking for. :)

Thanks again for your input Bug. Just so you know we already have a framework laid out for reworking Squires suggested setup with base locations and a different map. Lets just say that I am looking at a March date on this one. It would be another setup suggested by someone who is a functioning part of the CT Development Group...Squire/Warloc.

The Soccer War setup I put together in about 30 minutes one night then the next day Brady gave some input and after about 6 emails between us it was fleshed out. Then "Perdonia" was decided on as the terrain due to the short time frame we were working on with it and then it was time to run the setup.

I think that one would work with a correct terrain and properly skinned aircraft for each side. Is it a great setup? I know its not the best setup that has been run but at least it gave people something to talk about and critique. Just like the BCS does for college football.

please do try and keep up. if you read carefully, you'll catch it.

i do suppose it's understandable tho', what with all your lashing out that you'd eventually hit an innocent bystander.

Once again I will believe it when I see it.  So far it's just a cog in a broken and outdated machine.

See I choose not to cloak my jabs.

Well ... they aren't cloaked alright. Just kinda odd to see the flailing in every direction. The CT devgroup got together to  offer options to change things. Hopefully for the better. If ya don't like what they're doing either then you can choose to be an armchair critic or join. From what I've seen the CT dev group has open membership to whomever wants to participate. It ain't the CT staff. ;)

And whom do you propose offering those options too??

I could join or not, either way I don't see it being anymore than an armchair critic.

Try joining and finding out. It's not like you have to sign an obligatory contract to stay there while we throw things at you. :D

Just look at the options you have available next time you are on the board bug. It should be in the Special Events section.
